Passenger dash cracked around edge of airbag. Concerned that Acura is not handling as a recall. They have replaced some dashes, but others they say the dash is a thinner material therefore it may crack. I believe this manufacturer defect is compromising safety as it relates to my passengers in the vehicle.

The dashboard of my 2005 Acura Tl has developed four major cracks. Two of them are over the passenger airbag compartment. The passenger airbag warning light appears whenever someone sits in the passenger seat. The Acura dealer refuses to correct the problem unless I pay the full repair cost. I have been the sole owner of this vehicle. It has never been in an accident.

Cracking dash board. Doubtful that there isn't a takata airbag at the root of it that Acura is not including with the other years of that recall. Suspect dangers if bag gets deployed as dash would fragment out in expulsion.

Dashboard cracking for no reason. Cracks are in many places and occur near the dash air bag which is concerning if it every goes off could send sharp pieces of the dash into myself or a passenger (wife, daughter). Photos can be taken if needed.

The dashboard has a crack in it on the passenger side about where the airbag is located and the scoring is for the airbag deployment. The car is in excellent shape. Has spent most of it's life in a garage. Only has 85,000 miles on it and is detailed twice a year. There is no excuse for this. I am concerned that besides being a horrible cosmetic defect that it actually creates a safety issue for the proper deployment of the the passenger-side airbag. A simple search online will show you that this is not an isolated incident and must be a defect that Acura should repair or replace.

Bought the car used from original owner. Dash had a single crack along passenger side/air bag. Now dash has multiple cracks surrounding passenger air bag area. Extremely concerned regarding air bag operating properly if deployed as well as shards/sharp pieces of dash flying if air bag is deployed. Disturbed that only some of the 2005 Acura Tl's have been recalled and not all from this year.

Dash crack. I bought this car in September. In February I noticed a large crack over the passenger airbag. I contacted Acura with safety concerns and was told they would do nothing about it. The car was parked in my garage when I noted the crack on 2-11-17. The crack started out the size of a personal checkbook and has grown in length. It spans from the windshield to the glovebox. I had the car inspected by a certified Acura inspector and was told the crack was not caused by damage. I reported my estimate of repairs to Acura (over $2000) and was contacted. Acura will not help cover any repairs d/t my car not being under warranty or under 50,000. I bought the car used and it was in pristine condition.

Dashboard suddenly developed multiple cracks. Cracks are spreading. Some located near air bags on passenger side. Very concerned that in the event of an accident, air bags may not deploy and/or dashboard will shatter during deployment increasing risk of injury.

I purchased my 2004 Acura Tl from autoland USA in selden , NY on April 5th, 2016. The vehicle is in great shape. No torn seats, interior issues or any other visible issues at time of purchase. Just about 2 weeks ago, I noticed these cracks forming on my dashboard. I know this to be a manufacturers defect due to the overwhelming complaints on quite a few message and complaint boards and websites. I need to know what will Acura do to fix this issue. This is definitely not a wear and tear issue, because I also have a 1992 Honda accord in my driveway, that still has a perfectly intact dashboard and the accord is much older than this Acura. Passenger side dash left edge of airbag is cracked from the front to the windshield. Hundreds of complaints with this problem, Acura refuses to do anything. Do not want parts of dash to injure someone if in an accident and airbag goes off as the crack goes below the airbag towards the passengers.

2005 Acura Tl well maintained, always garaged. Nov 10, 2016 started noticing cracks on dashboard. 2 big ones on passenger side over where air bag supposed to be. Counted at least 6 different cracks over the entire dashboard, in various spots. This should not happen for a premium car maker such as Acura but no recall or assistance $$ to fix issue.

Cracked dashboard. Cracks have appeared in the dashboard. These cracks have appeared suddenly and not caused by impact. I believe that this is a defect in the product as there are similar instances of the same make and model with this defect and not found in other manufacturer vehicles of similar age.

The dashboard on the passenger is cracked. I bought the car brand new. The cracked dashboard my present safety issues if the passenger air bag was to inflate. Now that the dashboard has cracked, the crack will continue to grow, and possibly jeopardize the integrity of airbag, amongst other unknowns dashboards should not be cracking, and they should be engineered to withstand heat. I believe this is a defective dashboard.

Known issue with no official recall. Dash board cracks directly above airbag. Started with on large crack and now there are two above airbag. I have 3 coworkers all with Acura Tl's from 04-06 years all with the same cracks. Dealer is making drivers responsible to replace with no guarantee it won't happen again. There are numerous online forums and facebook page just regards to this issue. Should be a recall.

Sept 2016 was having an issue with the srs light remaining on constantly. Seat belt buckle under recall, had that replaced�that did not fix the problem. July 2017 now the dashboard on passenger side has a deep straight crack. I have done research and hundreds of other Acura Tl have this issue. The airbag is in that dashboard right where the crack is. Acura refuses to acknowledge a safety issue and will not repair, replace or recall. I have kept the car immaculate, I have regular service and a Honda/Acura repair shop. I understand Acura Tl specifically 2008 has this problem around the country in a variety of climates, and whether the car has been garaged or not. It's a design flaw. It is endangering my passenger. Also, if you find a junk part and replace the dash, apparently the replacement dash will crack also and the srs light will be on and the airbag compromised again.

Both front seats and the dashboard are extremely full of cracks for a vehicle with such low mileage and always well taken care of.

Dash board has cracks every where looks horrible . . . . Not happy with this car.

Dashboard cracked around front passenger airbag for no reason when I was in parking lot, this is a safety issue when I have my kids with me in the car, the airbag might not work properly because dashboard not protecting it accordingly, my car is always in the garage and very well taking car of, this is a luxury car and expensive, Acura should be 100% responsible in replacing dashboard to avoid possible airbag malfunction. I hope you guys really consider this claim because its happening everywhere with so many Acura Tl owners.

3 issues 1) two vertical cracks overnight on passenger side dash at air bag location-horizontal crack forming-fear of airbag deploying while driving causing me to wreck-should be recall-I no longer feel safe for fear or accidental deployment 2)bluetooth module failure-two batteries and alternator replaced-now have module disconnected-safety issue of not being able to use hfl while driving 3)since buying car in 2008, complained about drivers door closing back on my leg when I open it-have avoided injuries so far-as others stated, I have to kick door open or hold foot on it when exiting vehicle from what I have read many 2008 Tl owners are having the same issues -.

2006 Acura Tl with dashboard cracking around the passenger airbag. Have seen thousands of examples online of people with the same issue but Acura refuses to address or admit to it. Cnn even reported it, again no response from Acura. Concerned about proper deployment of airbag (or deployment at all), especially considering that the model years that are having the issues are the third generation Tl (model years 2004-2008) and all Tl in the surrounding years (1999-2003 and 2009-present) are a part of the takata recall. Acura has stated that replacement cost is $2000 - considering its an obvious manufacture defect and possibly a safety issue, one would think they would step up to the plate and admit fault. This is my third Acura vehicle owned.

The dash has begun to deteriorate/crack around the airbag housing on the passenger side. Cracks began forming while car was stationary and garaged. Any attempt to fix the growing crack will interfere with proper airbag deployment. This appears to be a common issue with this car - please advise.

A year ago my dashboard began to crack for no apparent reason, last week my airbag light went on and stays on. Research show that a large number of people have the same problem.

Dash cracking around passenger airbag as reported by countless others on social media and youtube. My concern is the flying debris from the faulty dash should the air bag ever deploy which can injure, kill or blind the occupant.

The dashboard is developing large cracks all around the right front passenger airbag. The cracks continue to spread and have caused significant damage to the dashboard leading to major concern for the safety of the driver and front seat passenger as to whether the defect has compromised the airbag deployment.

Dashboard is cracked in two places. One crack is right above the airbag. Not sure if it could cause the airbag to deploy? I have read that this is a problem with a lot of Acuras.

My 2005 Acura Tl is developing cracks in the dashboard. One of the cracks of major concern is the one that is forming along the right-hand side of the passenger airbag. I am afraid that the crack will cause the airbag to malfunction! the bag may deploy suddenly while driving, it may deploy upwards rather than forwards; it may cause the dash to crack further and spray the passenger compartment with dash shrapnel, or the cracks themselves my puncture the airbag - each causing a great safety concern including death or severe injury. My Acura Tl 2006 dashboard started cracking approximately 18 months ago (June 2016). I had used armor all consistently yet the dashboard continued to crack and today, I see the crack behind the central dashboard speaker continue t grow. The second photo I have attached shows the significant cracking on the passenger side of the dashboard, and coincidentally, around the area where the airbag is. I would like this dashboard replaced to original condition (without cracks), and I am very concerned that these cracks have negatively impacted the safety of the airbags safety system.
