I was parked in an automatic carwash when my driver side airbag started dripping water on me. I'm afraid this could cause my airbag to deploy. I've also experienced crazy electrical issues intermittently that are not safe and I wonder if this is related. I also have a video if that is needed.

The contact owns a 2004 Acura Tl. While stationary, the rearview mirror developed a bubble that obstructed and distorted the view of the road behind. Acura north scottsdale in scottsdale, arizona was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall; therefore, the contact would have to pay for the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the four year warranty was out of date and that the repair would not be covered. The failure mileage was 58,500.
Interior rearview mirror (auto dimming) became impossible to see out of due to a defect that caused a liquid to leak and cloud the mirror. Had to replace it in order to see out the back. It occurred gradually over about a year. At first it was just the corner and eventually it covered the whole mirror. I believe this is a safety hazard.

Fluid in rear view mirror that acts as anti-glare, liquefied and leaked out of mirror casing. Anti-glare capability no longer exists, making night vision via rear view mirror to be obscured by brightness of headlights of other vehicles, liquid also very viscous and difficult to remove.

Takata recall: problems occur on regular roads, local areas, cities. The car's window, the left passenger side behind the driver, is fail. It doesn't go up or down any more. It began couple years ago, and we had to to pay for the car repair person to pull it up only. Yet, it is automatically pulled down again and leaves a space that can't not protect passengers inside. Air, heat, any weather problem or any constructional objects injecting/flowing freely in/out. Other problem is "vsa" and "triangle" lights on. It started from last year when I had its tires replaced. Mechanics double checked and confirmed me that this car was too sensitive to do any tire job. Although they have tried to reset the sensor system, it still has the problem.
Rear view mirror began to discolor, changes colors, and continues to make various formations within the glass. Additionally, the mirror has clouded. In researching the issue, internet articles and the dealers indicate that the mirror contains gas and fluids that diminish glare at night, but fails due to heat within the vehicle. If I do not remove and replace the mirrror, the mirror supposedly will start to leak corrosive fluids onto the interior portions of the vehicle and the mirror itself has the potential to explode. So, we have a known issue; a non-functioning rear view mirror; and a part that has the potential to injure vehicle occupants. . .
This is a complaint regarding the poor and hazardous design of rain-x latitude wiper blades connector piece. While driving in "normal duty conditions" light non-freezing rain (temp in the mid 50's fahrenheit) at normal city speeds the passenger wiper, a 19" rain-x latitude, properly installed, catastrophically failed causing the wiper blade portion of the part to become completely detached from the vehicles wiper arm with the plastic clip still attached to the vehicle's metal wiper arm. The blade was thrown from the vehicle into the roadway. This caused a sudden total loss of visibility. It is clear that there is a flaw with the integrity of this part as designed by rain-x that could cause a sudden and total loss of visibility in the event of a failure and could cause dangerous debris to be mechanically thrown from a vehicle, endangering the safety of others.

A year ago my side rear view mirrors began to have a "rusty" ring look at the bottom and wrapping around to the sides. Now both mirrors are 80% covered in this "rust" getting difficult to use my mirrors! huge safety problem and issue on this car!!!.
Like others here my airbag in the passenger dash is cracked in a ring and I fear the airbag will malfunction, in addition if it doesn't malfunction, and deploys the plastic will be propelled with great force by the deplosion of airbag causing serious injury. I survived the failed transmissions, with numerous lock ups at highway speeds that caused a crash with injuries. I don't understand why Acura and Honda have not taken these warnings seriously, its obvious the safety risk, please stop playing with our lives and fix this problem. I also have a whine in my steering and replaced the power steering pump completely, it stills whines and is now leaking steering fluid and fumes coming into car and my wiper water quit spraying on my windshield. This is too much for a higher model car that cost a lot of money. Oh and I have replaced my tires so many times due to the treat wearing off like every 20k miles!.
On case pe07060 with Acura wipers. The fix Acura provided simply does not work. My wipers stopped working for no apparent reason during a storm (common in south florida). I almost got into a huge accident because I could not see. Thankfully I was able to pull over. The fuse is ok. When I took the vehicle to Acura they told me that they were aware of the ongoing issue but since the re-call was done that I had to pay for them to "look at it" and really fix the issue instead of the patch that was done.
1. Recall campaign id# 08v092000 - 2004-2005 Acura Tl (windshield wiper motor); manufacturer report date: February 25, 2008 2. As per Acura, a wiper motor kit was installed June 27, 2008 on my 2004 Acura Tl. 3. On September 11, 2009 my windshield wipers became inoperable. I contacted the dealership and Acura client services immediately. I made an appointment to take my vehicle to the Acura dealership and was told that I would have to pay for the repair since the "recall" was complete. Although, the wiper motor kit was installed (June 27, 2008) as a preventive measure by the dealership, the wiper motor kit did not prevent my windshield wiper motor from the corrosion as mentioned in the defect notice, owner notification letter (part 577), recall acknowledgement and recall summary. The dealership ruled the repair on September 12, 2009 due to "wiper motor electrical fault".
About 3-6 months ago, I noticed a crack on the passenger side of my Acura 2006 Tl. Gradually the crack grew, then over time, I saw two more cracks in the areas where the airbags are located. Now these cracks are widening and I can see white in the cracks. My concern is that the manufacturer's defect will compromise proper deployment of the airbags in case of an accident. If so, this can have tragic consequences. I called the Acura manufacturer customer service. They informed me that it will cost me $1500-2000 and that the adjustment from them will be minimal because the warranty for such a thing has expired. I researched on the internet and discovered that this is a common problem for Acuras. Please, please investigate and help others like me who are highly disappointed, discouraged and angry about the poor quality of materials used in the area that encases the airbags that should protect us from injury or death. For your information: my car has 92,000 miles and I have always taken good precautions to protect the dashboard with a windshield cover, used special conditioner and cracked my windows to keep the heat out. I also do proper and timely mechanical and electrical maintenance. I am the only driver and was hoping this would be my last car. Now, if I must sell my car, my car has depreciated substantially due to poor workmanship and I will have a car payment I don't need or can't afford. Do ru.
