Vehicle displays two warnings under normal usage. First warning is emissions system issue and second is brake system failure. The vehicle runs completely normal and operational, however these two warnings flash on the vehicle. The parking brake indicator also flashes. Vehicle has been to dealership/shop for multiple repairs; around 3-4 repairs within two months with no resolve for the same warning/issue.

3 Other Fuel System problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 10/31/2025

The fuel delivery system, specifically the fuel pump, has malfunctioned. This vehicle is subject to a fuel pump safety recall, which was reportedly repaired in 2022; however, the vehicle continues to experience the same failure symptoms and is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has stalled multiple times at highway speeds, resulting in sudden loss of power while driving and creating an immediate risk of collision with surrounding traffic. My family was in the vehicle during these incidents, significantly increasing the risk of serious injury or death. The problem has been reproduced multiple times, including after the vehicle was taken to an authorized Acura dealership. During the most recent visit, diagnostic trouble codes were cleared, but the recalled fuel pump was not repaired or replaced. After being released by the dealership, the vehicle stalled again under similar driving conditions. The vehicle was inspected by the dealership, but no corrective repair was performed beyond clearing codes. The manufacturer has not yet properly remedied the recurring safety defect. Prior to stalling, the vehicle exhibited intermittent hesitation, loss of power, and engine shutdown. Warning indicators and fault codes were present at times and were cleared by the dealership without resolving the underlying issue. These symptoms have continued intermittently since the recall repair. This appears to be a failure to properly diagnose and correct a known safety defect, resulting in repeated dangerous highway stalls and placing occupants at serious risk.

4 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 09/02/2025

I had the stop bearing rod recall performed on my 2019 Acura Tlx along with a fuel pump recall. After less than 10,000 miles I am informed that my high pressure fuel pump has failed. When the did the recall on the vehicle they only did the low pressure fuel pump when there is known issue of the high pressure fuel pump failing.

I was driving on a main road stopped at an intersection and my car suddenly stopped it shifted my car to neutral I had to restart the car and drove home . I went online and started reading about that problem comes out to be it’s a fuel pump recall . I then look up my VIN number and it says that there is no recall for it but I find it hard to believe because it’s having the same exact symptoms . Thank you have a blessed day.

8 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 03/14/2025

Car experiences intermittent hesitation and jerking during acceleration. When car is driven in "economy" mode the jerking begins at 20 mph. When the car is driven in "normal" mode the when accelerating and merging onto highway car was almost rear-ended twice due to sluggish acceleration and jerking. Car also demonstrates engine surging while sitting idle. Spark plugs were changed, fuel treatment was done, and throttle body was inspected. No codes appear when car is scanned. Car has not displayed and illuminated check engine light or any other warning lights. Car was taken into local Acura dealership where problem was unable to be replicated and diagnosis was inconclusive.

9 Other Fuel System problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 03/08/2025

Acura Tlx stop start system it will turn off on red light or stop! engine fails to restart on its own! jump start required!!!! is not safe for millions of families!.

10 Other Fuel System problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 01/28/2025

The car is constantly throwing codes for faulty emissions system problem and parking brake problem but the car runs fine. The dealership will not do anything unless I pay them a fee to diagnose it and then they suggest replacing the catalytic converter even though it’s very likely a faulty fuel hose or faulty sensor. This needs to be recalled and fixed immediately.

11 Other Fuel System problem of the 2020 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 12/02/2024

The recall impacting my fuel injection has not been fixed since 2023 I have been waiting. I was told parts are available now and would be called by someone but that has been more than a month ago.

12 Other Fuel System problem of the 2017 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 11/22/2024

My daughter was driving her car to work. Well in the middle of rush hour traffic the car put itself in neutral and then would not move and all of the lights were displayed on the dashboard as if the car was turned off. The car would not go into gear to move forward. She put the car in park and then shut the engine off. The engine shuttered and the car shook while it turned off. He then tried to start it and then started again and it started up okay and was able to put the car in drive and move forward. I spoke to my mechanic and he said that there is a recall on this car for fuel pump issues. I checked the VIN and it said that there was no open recall. However I wanted to report this incident to document it for this particular car because it could have a fuel pump issue.

13 Other Fuel System problem of the 2024 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 11/14/2024

I understand Honda isn't doing soo well so I hope this is added to the list of the feds research we just bought this Tlx aspec don't understand how these cars need to be 4000lbs but anyway the gas mileage advertised is not what you get I've seen on multiple forms people are saying they experience 13 mpg and on a cylinder engine that is just not acceptable 2 hear grinding noises in our drive train that the dealership doesn't hear unless it shows up in a scan tool 3 the engine has very loud valve tapping sound the tail tips have alot of black soot on them also evident of too lean gas mixture 200 dollars in gas in 8 days of owning this new car the transmission also has a mind of its own in sport mode reving the motor to 2 and 3k rpm all by itself and staying there till I tap on the gas pedal a few times and no the rug is not interference with the pedal it's all these companies going to electrical sensors instead of a cable that goes from the pedal to the throttle body like it should have always stayed. Getting rid of this thing as soon as possible soo the fed should also look at the newer ones . . . .

14 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 10/18/2024

Hi, I’m having issues with my fuel pump / engine and I seen online there was a previous recall for this issues regarding my year make and model but when I search my VIN it’s not included? not sure why when I’m having issues related to that exact recall. I believe it can be related. I took it to Acura and they want to charge me 5,000 dollars for repair. I have a 2018 Acura Tlx 3. 5 v6 which is stated in this photo attached. Can I get some more clarification please? I’m having all issues notated on the photo. Regarding car idle, fuel issues, stalling and more. My car slid into neutral while I was driving twice! super scary. When I took it to Acura they diagnosed everything that was in the recall? not sure why my vehicle isn’t included when it’s very obviously related.

15 Other Fuel System problem of the 2017 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 10/01/2024

On September 30, 2024 I received a notice from Acura titled “important safety notice” (recall number 23v-751). The recall concerns a manufacturing defect of the engine crankshaft. On October 1, 2024 I contacted nalley Acura of marietta, georgia about scheduling an appointment and was told that the first available appointment was not until July 24, 2025 (almost ten months later). I was also told that the recall is not a safety concern and that I can continue to drive my car. I find it incredulous that Acura can issue a “safety recall” and then claim that the first opportunity to perform the repair is ten months later. Being forced to wait ten months to repair a manufacturing defect is outrageous and dangerous. Is this a subterfuge by the company to avoid performing the repairs? in addition, I am confused by the dealerships response that this is not a safety concern. The recall notice states “due to a manufacturing defect of the engine crankshaft, the connecting rod bearing can prematurely wear and seize, causing engine damage. A damaged engine may run improperly or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a fire, crash, or injury”. Is the recall notice incorrect - that the matter under recall is not a safety concern? additionally, I received a call from Honda customer service on Friday, October 4, 2024. Among other things, I was told that as part of the recall, I may be charged for a "diagnostic test" if the dealership looks at my car and finds a repair is not needed. Waiting ten months for a safety recall is unacceptable and I hope the NHTSA investigates this further and forces Acura to explain how it can take so long to perform the service caused by its manufacturing defect. Also, to incur a charge as part of the recall process is unacceptable and will only discourage consumers from taking their car to a dealer.

16 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 09/05/2024

Driving on the hwy on left most lane, car started jerking when accelerating and slowing when hitting the accelerator. Check engine light blinks on and off while this is happening. Scary and terrifying moment on the hwy, was able to get into emergency lane and slowly get car off hwy into parking lot. Got the car towed to Acura, they ran "diagnostics" and could not replicate the problem or even find the check engine code. They recommended 7 items of which some were complete nonsense and upselling instead of finding the solution to dangerous problem. Seems like the fuel pump issue and they won't confirm anything. Saying I need at oil change with 40% left on indicator, tire rotation, ac filter, and other non sense upsells instead of finding the problem that almost caused accident. Acura dealership had no clue when fuel pump part will come in and I have no other vehicle. Nhtsa needs to fine Acura and tell them to stop selling new cars and fix the 2. 5 million on the road today with problem. Need help on this!.

17 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 08/19/2024

Faulty high pressure fuel pump. Technician told me he sees a lot of these. If so, why isn't there a recall?.

18 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 08/07/2024

I received two recalls and multiple notices saying the parts are not available for the recall. Over 6 months later I receive a notice the parts are finally available. I tried to make an appointment with my local dealer and was told they will not repair unless the check engine light is on. If what happens in the recall (fire, crash or injury), how will I be able to get the check engine light to come on? I'm afraid to drive the car because I don't want to be stranded, plus I don't want the car to catch fire, cause a crash or be injured. Why isn't Honda/Acura making the parts to correct this problem and why is the dealer not complying with the recall notices I'm receiving? on the Acura recall website, when I enter my vpn, it notes to please take immediate action to have your vehicle repaired but the dealer won't do it! as I'm looking at the additional details below. . . It appears that a fire, crash or injury needs to happen. Unbelievable!.

19 Other Fuel System problem of the 2017 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 07/25/2024

Car experiences intermittent electrical system failure. Upon failure, drivers will experiance random and rapid clicking, clanking, and electrical systems discharging like lights, screens, and alarm. After restarting the car, users will find, all warning lights displayed with a few blinking: transmission, parking brake, traction control, a few more. Headlights will randomly turn on, as well as the alarm, intermittently. All adas offline. Experienced sudden system failure causing all adas to fail while stationary/parked or moving/(actively driving on highway). Does actively affect driving ability more specifically: disrupts steering ability, causes random malfunctions with electrical components, cannot exceed 40 mph, car will not shift above 3rd gear, engine does seem much louder. After a thorough investigation/diagnosis with the dealership I concluded the main fault is due to the "Smart power control unit" located behind the glovebox compartment of the vehicle. More specifically, one of the chips on the circuit board is not fully coated with sealant from the factory, leading to a potential for some kind of mold, dust, or organic growth to form and short one of the ground pins on the end of the chip. Driver states: this is a control unit failure, I believe a small short on a single ground pin with the positively charged chip housing was causing a short within the control unit circuit board where the chip was not fully covered with non-conductive coating/sealant. This caused a handful of issues, like electrical systems prematurely wearing due to rapid discharge of electronics. Impairs drivers ability and ability in turning, braking, and accelerating. Also car will roll backwards if driver is not careful. Biggest concerns: fire, partial loss of control while driving, and premature wear on electrical components. A extra note: disconnecting battery does temporarily fix issue but rarely, most time it will start discharging electrical systems immediately or in the day.

20 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 07/24/2024

My car has had problems with the fuel pump. . . I have made an appointment at the Acura dealership three times now and when I take the car in they tell me that they don't have the part that needs to be replaced. . .

21 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 07/23/2024

Fuel pump module failed at 55,000 miles. This has been recalled on the v6 models and mine is 4 cilinder.

22 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 06/13/2024

I was driving down the road out of town about 3 hours away from home when I heard a beep and car started to stop, later finding out it was going into “limp mode”. It was then towed to a car shop which was not any help, they stated that they didn’t know what was wrong with it and that I needed to take it to Honda down the road 2. 5 miles that it just needed a system update; very mistreated and rude not offering towing service suggestions or anything told me I can still crank and drive it just not fast. I got into my car and drove it to Honda which would not go over 15mph trying to get there before closing on a Friday afternoon. After their diagnosis, I was told it was a fuel pump issue but my VIN was not included upfront but prompted me to file a claim report with Acura to see if I could get a reimbursement later on, which was denied due to no recall listed on my VIN which led me to file this claim to get my VIN reanalyzed as I believe it should be included since it is directly related to the known recalls on Acura and don’t agree that is enough to exclude or disprove my VIN. Unfortunately Honda did not have any courtesy vehicles to offer at the time so I had to have someone come pick me up 3 hours from home. The low pressure fuel pump was initially replaced but then stated there was still issue with my car and it was also the high pressure fuel pump as well, both of which are recalls listed on other various year and models of Acura. About a month prior to this situation, a few lights came on related to abs, the code read mass airflow, still driving as usual. I made an appointment at mechanic to have it worked on and had to wait a few days, the day of the lights weren’t on and when arrived they stated did not see anything wrong with it but may return if happens again.

23 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 05/29/2024

Vehicle dash board is lighting up & can not go past 20mph or it will shut off.

24 Other Fuel System problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 05/24/2024

When the vehicle is running in driveway and I then get into it a few minutes later and drive around the corner, when coming to a stop it jerks as if it wants to stall. This happens when I am driving as well and slow down, it’ll jerk and push me forward a little and happens daily so not sure why my VIN didn’t come up with a recall because it sounds a lot like the fuel pump issue the one recall mentioned.

25 Other Fuel System problem of the 2020 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 04/09/2024

Manufacturer at two different locations report the are unable to make repairs due to not having parts.

26 Other Fuel System problem of the 2020 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 02/01/2024

My engine has stopped and stalled in the middle of traffic on multiple occasions. The issue is related to the fuel pump recall. Acura states that the parts for the recalls are available, yet when you contact an Acura dealership, none of them have the parts! I dont want to die in a car accident because Acura is stealing our money while we have to drive faulty vehicles.

27 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 02/01/2024

1. Fuel pump module and engine crankshaft. 2. For the fuel pump module, the engine may not start or can stall while driving; increasing the risk of crashing or injury. For the engine crankshaft, the connecting rod bearing can prematurely wear and seize, causing engine damage. The damaged engine may run improperly or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a fire, crash, or injury. 3. The problem hasn’t been reproduced or confirmed by the dealer. 4. The vehicle hasn’t been inspected. 5. There were no warning signs. I have received letters in mail regarding the recalls, however the dealership has advised the first available appointment to service my car is September 2025.

35 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 03/17/2023

On several occasions I have experienced issues with the performance of my vehicle. Upon start up and attempting to move forward while the car is in drive the vehicle hesitates to move and feels like it is going to choke and stop. I have experienced this same issue at stops while the car is in operation. There is an open recall for 2015-20 Tlx no sh-awd fuel pump mtr saf recall exp2, recall date:12/18/2023 which has yet to be fixed. I have been told by tempe Acura that the parts are not available and basically I will be called when the parts are available. My safety and the safety of others are at risk when the car is not accelerating and causing a stalling or non-movement of the car. I have experienced the car stalling abruptly and coming to hard stops. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer by notice in the mail. The vehicle has been inspected when another recall was fixed which took over a year to resolve. This specific issue has yet to be resolved. There was another issue of the car stalling, which the dealer states that the electronic system needed a computer update. The problem first appeared when I purchased the car from {xxx].
