Driving towards the gas station, still at lows speeds while I was in the neighborhood so speed limit was 15mph. I can hear and feel the car struggle to move forward, about 2 minutes into the drive a hear a big toon and check engine light is on for about a minute before going away. I filled gas and headed back home and I heard a larger toon but this time all the warning light came up. These are all errors reported by the car at the same time - vehicle stability system - hill start assist problem - addictive cruise control system problem - collision mitigation braking system problem - road departure mitigation system problem - emission system problem - all wheel drive system problem - brake system problem these are all errors that appeared on the Acura app - emission system problem - vehicle stability system - electric parking brake problem - electric power steering problem - adaptive cruise control problem.

My 2017 Acura was involved in a low-speed collision where it failed to stop in a timely manner, resulting in a total loss declaration. This vehicle had open safety recalls (including the fuel pump/rod bearing issues) that remained unrepaired for over 1. 5 years. Despite multiple inquiries, the manufacturer failed to provide a repair timeline or remedy. I believe these unresolved defects directly contributed to the braking failure and subsequent safety incident.

Loss of brake power with “brake” light and “brake service” light on. I was backing out of my driveway and lost almost all braking power almost pushing the pedal to the floor. Once I came to a stop, I turned the car off and turned it back on, brake pedal felt fine and lights went away at that point.

While braking and attempting a left turn at an intersection, my vehicle completely shut down with no braking or steering control. Fortunately there were no damages and the vehicle started up again and I was able to clear the intersection. I took the vehicle to an authorized dealer for repair. They indicated that this was a known issue and they were familiar with it. They installed a battery sensor and did brake work as they said there was air in the system. I paid for the repair and approximately a month later, while slowing down for a red signal, the same thing occurred, only this time my vehicle impacted another vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles. I had my vehicle towed to the shop that did the initial repair, but they said they could not find any codes that would indicate that their repairs were faulty.

Adaptive damper system error on dashboard. Took the car to the dealer and they confirmed two issues. Codes c1646-14 and c1647-14 indicating the stroke sensor has lower limit abnormality. Dealer recommended replacing both rear shocks due to over extension. Once shocks were replaced, codes returned. During further investigation, corrosion was found in the stroke sensor wiring harness. Harness is the root cause of the issue. Car is available at the dealer for inspection if necessary. From a safety perspective, if I continued to drive the car I could have experienced a malfunction in the braking system which could have led to brake failure, failure of safety features, or a car stall.

Unknown: ebs comes on as well as the break system problem lights and many more. Vehicle loses power and goes into limp mode. As of now it wont shift from parking.

To whom it may concern: the purpose of my complaint is to bring to your attention reprehensible policies and misconduct displayed by the automaker, Acura, the premium subsidiary brand of the american Honda motor company. On 11/18/2025, I brought in my 2021 Acura Tlx tech w/sh-awd in for a problem related to the brakes. The front brakes were and continue to make a jarring, very loud, high-pitched squeaking noise at low speeds. After 4 hours at radley Acura of falls church, va, the technician stated "could not duplicate" the concern. The problem persisted and I again returned on 12/18/2025 for the same issue. My vehicle has been at the dealership awaiting a response from Acura client relations on a claim that I submitted on 12/19/2025. Radley Acura diagnosed the issue as a well-known defect of 2021 Tlx models, as evidenced by Acura's own service bulletin describing the very issue I continue to experience (and yet were unable to diagnose on 11/18). Radley Acura is stating that although my vehicle is 28,000+ miles under the manufacturer's warranty, that by time, since purchase, it is outside the manufacturer's warranty by approximately 6 months. However, on 1/27/2025 (when my car was within manufacturer warranty and only had 17,215 miles on the odometer), I completed a lease buyout of my car. In addition, I paid to have it Acura precision certified. As part of this paid certification, radley had my car for over a day to allegedly perform a 182-point inspection, and address a recall open for over a year (with a remedy from Acura - but allegedly no available repair parts to fix my car, until I requested to cpo my at the time of lease buyout). During their cpo inspection, the dealership failed to address the open service bulletin on the front brakes--a documented issue Acura has been aware of since before 2/15/2022, as established by their service bulletin. Now the dealership is stating the manufacturer's defect that they failed to address is $500 out of pocket expense.

Well, today November 3 , car have 70900 miles, few weeks ago Acura do a replacements, recall fuel, problems, today warning , engine and ( p ) brake system came on , and I look in the forum of this type of issues with Acuras and some many diferents opinions. To many complaint about this problems with Acura. I am worry that driving the car with this issues ruins the car. But its the only transportation that I have. Thanks.

Warning lights for electric parking brake problem and emissions system problem simultaneously occurring with no definitive solution. Codes can be cleared by disconnecting battery and reconnecting but warning lights eventually come back on sometimes in a matter or days, weeks or month. There are no other issues that coincide with these warning lights coming on.

All of sudden I got electronic parking brake/emissions system problem today 08/26/2025 and hence reporting this and quick internet research shows so many people having same issue.

All four brake rotors are bent on 30k miles.

I had the same issue as [xxx] . I do see there are many others effected by this and some have overpaid due to inaccurate diagnostics by dealerships. My husband and I have a 2022 Acura Tlx (purchased new) that was issued a safety recall. We brought the car into the dealership in April to fix the problem. Two weeks later, the car completely malfunctioned- every warning light went off at the same time, and the car completely lost control. Steering, brakes, power/gas, everything went out. During this second visit, the dealership replaced the pcm. Last night, the exact same issue happened. My husband was thankfully near home, but if he was on a highway, he could've easily been killed. Again, everything in the car went out- steering, brakes, power- and he had zero control of the car. The car was towed a couple hours ago to the dealership (third time since initial visit in April), and the service manager said, "this has never happened before. . . " and had no answers. This is an extremely high risk situation, and we do not feel safe getting into this car when the dealership/manufacturer is clearly not able to fix their own safety recall.

The car is constantly throwing codes for faulty emissions system problem and parking brake problem but the car runs fine. The dealership will not do anything unless I pay them a fee to diagnose it and then they suggest replacing the catalytic converter even though it’s very likely a faulty fuel hose or faulty sensor. This needs to be recalled and fixed immediately.

Hotspot on rotors. Brake pads are good. There has been a recall on this year,but not this model. .

2019 Acura Tlx 28k miles - was slowing pulling into a parking spot in a parking garage downtown san diego. Suddenly the car had no brakes while pressing the brake pedal to the floor with no resistance from the brakes, the car start revving hard and accelerating very fast. I stopped by hitting a brick barrier. Steering wheel and knee airbags deployed. Fortunately I arrived at work early that day and did not hit anyone or any other cars. Our insurance company usaa said they can not repair the car. The automatic emergency equipment did not kick in either. Acura was advised of the issue case number [xxx]. Fortunately my injuries were minor cuts and bruising but if this incident had happened somewhere else it could have resulted in loss of life. My car shakes really bad when driving at 75 mph on smooth highway. Others have experienced the same problem online and most users pointed the problem to the cv axle.

Emissions system problem/electric parking brake problem.

My vehicle is a 2022 Acura Tlx a-spec with 20,000 miles on it. I bought it certified from an Acura dealer October of 2022 at 7,600 miles. I started to have an issue with the driving experience recently. I took it in to my closet dealer and they stated that the problem was the rotors being warped from driving and braking then that I would have to pay for the replacement rotors and brakes, but it’s impossible and the mileage shows. This is an manufacturer issue that has affected many owners and hasn’t been resolved.

I recently got my rotors replaced and the car stutter while braking. Also, this happened before I replaced rotors. . The transmission is slow and won't shift to merge highways. I don't know if its the transmission or the brake lines. . I guess it's the transmission trying to drop gears for engine braking and it starts stuttering.

I had an awful noise that accompanied a sticky/ inconsistent brake pedal feel and braking concerns. Upon contacting multiple dealerships and Honda corporate is was told everything is working as designed. I filed a claim with ncds and was awarded a repair. When contacting the dealership and manufacturer they did another inspection and said it's working as designed and there was nothing to repair. Now in the news they are recalling approximately 250,000 hondas/Acura vehicles for a safety issue with the brake pedal. There is no information on what the recall is supposed to entail. My VIN is still not associated with the recall. This is a safety issue that the manufacturer has been ignoring for a long time now.

Defective warped rotors at low mile approximately 15k miles, brake pads are good but not rotors. Original owner not aggressively driven or braked. Episodes when driving highway at 70mph and traffic suddenly stop's vehicles brakes must be pumped to ensure effective stopping. The oem highway hazard, for almost new vehicle.

The contact owns a 2019 Acura Tlx. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph the contact observed a thumping noise emanating from the engine compartment when the brake pedal was depressed the sound grew louder. Additionally, the contact stated that when the accelerator was depressed the vehicle did not accelerate as intended. The vehicle was veered to the side of the road. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 47,396.

Unknown- check tpms system, check parking brake system, check brake system, park light, all came on and stays on. While driving car shut off multiple times, speed will reduce, car will hesitate and jerk when trying to pull off from stop light.

Vechile starts vibrating when breaks are applied at highway speeds or when stopping completely.

While traveling on highway, parking brake intermittently activated several times and parking brake malfunction alarm flashed on dashboard. This caused the vehicle to brake unexpectedly while driving through a construction zone on highway 45. Fortunately, we were very close to the Acura dealership where the vehicle was purchased and managed to drive the vehicle to the service department. The parking brake alarm continued to display on dashboard even after turning off the vehicle and starting it again. The emissions alarm also flashed intermittently on the dashboard. After researching on several Tlx forums, we found similar incidents dating back to 2015 Tlx vehicles. There is also an issue when trying to start the vehicle. Sometimes the engine does not turn over and the dashboard displays error messages or goes completely black. Dealer is unable to fix this issue. Vehicle has been in for repairs a number of times with no resolution. We are not sure if the starting issue is related to the parking brake issue. There seems to be major issues with the electrical/software/firmware.

Acura Tlx tech showing "check engine", "break" and warning sign on the dashboard. Vehicle was taken to Acura dealer at east brunswick on 08/29/2022. They inspected the car and advised that the issue with "pipe kit, fuel filler part #06160-tz3-a11". The part was ordered by the dealer up on my request with a comment that part is back ordered and no firm expected time per Acura corporate and advised that I shall look for part from other dealers as well. I was advised that vehicle is drivable. As a fallback I ordered part from oem Acura parts on 08/30/2022 and got the same message from them as well that its back ordered. Upon several follow ups and calls still part is unavailable and car is not fixed. Dealer advised in April 2023 that I shall call Acura corporate to determine the expected arrival and I open a case with Acura corporate with case 13772219 and had follow up call with customer services on 04/21/2023 and 4/28/2023. Finally got a call back from case manager chris on 05/01/2023 and he said "no definitive eta, part not available. What best he can do is to send period update via email and call when part is available. " I am in the state of new jersey and vehicle inspections are mandatory, my car inspection is due soon and in case car is not fixed, then there is no way vehicle will pass inspection and I will be forced not to drive the car.

Rotors warped and changed through warranty but loud humming and vibration is back after 2,000 miles on new rotors. Steering column is leaking fluid down to brake pedal. Steering wheel is making a clicking noise when turning. Speakers are crackling after fakra replacement under acceleration or going over bumps.

There are so many lights flashing, my vehicle will not go over 50mph, my steering wheel is no longer straight its actually to the left. I brought it to Acura and they are stating its a rear toe actuator issue and refuse to cover the 5,100. 00 fee to fix this issue that has had a safety bulletin posted for a 2015 Tlx. There has been a bulletin about this according to carvana so Acura is aware of this issue but refuse to recall this issue. Warning lights are as follow, brake system issue, road departure mitigation system problem, adaptive cruise control problem, vehicle stability assist problem, precision all wheel steer problem, power steering failure. This vehicle only has 46,987 miles.

When brakes are depressed, there is a spring release/clicking noise. As we have put milage on car it has gotten progressively louder.

Rear rotors warped after only about 15000 miles. Calipers failed early too. This causes the vehicle to shake very hard when braking, and creates an unsafe condition. Competent mechanics have inspected the vehicle and confirmed this.

Whenever I press the brake pedal at low speeds(1-3 mph) I hear a loud spring/clicking sound. This is happening to multiple Acura Tlx owners I know.

After approx. 15,000 miles on the odometer applying the brakes at highway speed to slow the car down the steering wheel shakes, went to the dealership they said the front brake rotors are warped. Also when traveling at highway speed around 70 mph with strong wind the hood of the car shakes as if it is not latched, stopped vehicle and checked that the hood is properly latched and it was, I am concerned that one time the hood will come unlatched as I am driving. Dealer said that was a normal like other Acura Tlx of the same year.

My vehicle has only 36526 miles. The brake pedal goes down to 2 inches from the floor and is a major traffic hazzard. I have attempted numerous times unsuccessfuly to make an appointment with elite Acura in maple shade, NJ no answer at service dept. Today, 6/8/21, I contacted Acura customer relation and the rep. Could not contact elite Acura as well. She did assigned case # 12275613. This is traffic accident waiting to occur. Can you help me?.
