Failure Date: 09/23/2020

When a person or item is in the front passenger seat there will be an intermittent error and the passenger side airbag will disable. It doesn't happen every time but as time goes on it happens more often. . I've contacted 'Audi chattanooga' about the issue and they say a recall to fix said problem has already been completed yet the problem persists.

3 Side/window Air Bag problem of the 2015 Audi A3

Failure Date: 04/20/2020

Shortly after having recall 69z4 completed (harness and connector) completed started getting warnings the passenger airbag not working and when someone was not in the passenger seat getting a seatbelt warning. Also error on display about pre-sense error. Went to dealer and point out this started right after the recall and they said different issue and has impacted a lot of others. Now they say the pods (passenger occupancy detection system) needs to be replaced quoting me approximately $1200 to fix. Due to the fault the passenger side air bag will not operate. In addition to my dealer telling me it is a common problem, when looking at the forums it seems like a problem across many Audi models, not just the A3, s3.

4 Side/window Air Bag problem of the 2016 Audi A3

Failure Date: 03/01/2020

The passenger side air bag is permanently disable, even when a passenger is seated on it- it appears the sensor under the seat does is not working properly. This is critical malfunction as the passenger will not be protected in a collision case. Additionally, the seatbelt light comes on to fasten seatbelt even when no one is sat on that seat and won't go away until the belt is fasten. I have been waiting for Audi to include my vehicle in the current national recall to fix that problem.

5 Side/window Air Bag problem of the 2008 Audi A3

Failure Date: 03/18/2017

"takata recall" on March 18, 2017, I went in to Audi calabasas and spoke with scott gomez, service advisor, and the manager on duty that day, to inquire on having my driver side airbag replace in response to the manufacturer safety recall issued. His response was to try back later. He said he did not expect for any bags to be available for months. He did not seem concerned. I said I was afraid of the danger of it going off in a minor fender bender and he said there were no reports of Audi vehicles experiencing such mal-functions. I asked if he was not concerned about the liability should one such accident occur involving the recalled airbag. His response was chilling. He said it would not be Audi's fault. It would be the manufacturer of the airbag's liability.

6 Side/window Air Bag problem of the 2011 Audi A3

Failure Date: 03/04/2017

I received a letter and email from my dealership around the beginning of February informing me that my car had a defective takata driver side airbag and to come in and talk to someone regarding my options. I scheduled an appt with my dealership for February 25, 2017 and met with sarsi kazimi, sales manager, at keyes Audi at 5239 van nuys blvd, van nuys, CA 91401. Sarsi confirmed that there is not a remedy available at this time, and tried to offer me a trade-in deal for my car against another Audi. I currently have 1 1/2 years more until full payoff of my vehicle (car loan through my credit union, not the dealership). I informed sarsi that I didn't want to lock myself into a new loan for another 5-7 yrs when my mine is almost paid off. The following week he offered me a new lease option for the A3 sportback etron, but the payment would be higher than my current monthly payment at $399/mo, not to mention, I wouldn't even own the car at the end of the lease. I tried to meet him with a reasonable offer for the lease option but he would not concede. I felt my offer was fair in regards to the airbag not having a remedy at this time. I did not want to go lower than my current monthly payment, so I told him I was willing to lease a new A3 sportback for 3 years, no money due at signing, 12,000 miles/year, fully loaded, w/ nothing higher than $350/mo. Audi already had a current offer for something similarly advertised. Lease the same car with monthly amount $359 and approximately $2600 due at signing (see attached). I figured this was fair and reasonable based on comparison to their current advertisement. He came back with the lowest he could possible go was no money down for the stipped down version (no additional "add-ons"), at $399/mo. He was not willing to budge. I told him I was not interested in this deal and walked out. Please advise on how I should proceed.
