Adaptive Cruise Control Problems of Audi A4

The mmi spontaneously reboots numerous times while driving. When the reboots happen, the screen goes black and key systems such as the backup camera, rear obstacle detection, and navigation, become unavailable until the reboot completes and the systems reload. Restoring functionality requires user input to get through the loading screens. The issue started in mid-February 2025 and the vehicle has been inspected by a mechanic who verified the concern and attempted a factory reset (which did not solve the issue), and they continue to claim there's nothing they can do since their obd scans return no fault codes, even though there are numerous tsbs (filed with NHTSA) that point to available software updates that should be applied to address infotainment-related issues. This appears to be a widespread issue based on the numerous reports found on user forums online, affecting the same model year vehicles (for multiple examples, refer to [xxx] ). It is also interesting that most of the users experiencing this issue, also report it starting around the same time (Jan/Feb 2025), and they all have similar software versions, and likely production dates. This should be considered a safety issue, as the reboots can happen in the middle of a reverse parking maneuver, and they render the backup camera and obstacle detection sensors completely inoperative until the system reloads. They also impact safety on the highway, as the reboots completely disable the navigation screens, and require multiple user input to restore, while driving. I have also filed a case with Audi customer experience (as many other customers have for this issue) and the number is [xxx], opened on 5/2/25, and I'm still pending for a satisfactory resolution. I own a 2009 Audi A4. On the month of October 2024 my transmission failed. I towed my car to a mechanic who then replaced my transmission I picked up my car on December 11 2024 at 7 am from Audi of fresno. I have had no prior issues and like always I expect a dealership to inspect a new vehicle that comes in ,as I have never been able to get work done with out them always doing their own diagnostic. Any ways . On the morning of December 20 at 8:15 am I went to pic up breakfast from carls jr with my boyfriend . As I placed my order and drove up to the window without a single warning my car engulfed in flames from the front driver side . I turned my car off jumped out called. The fire department and watched as my car continued to build flames until the fire department finally showed up. Had I taken the freeway thay day instead of the streets I wouldnt have noticed the fire untill it was to late. . Im in shock and also just pissed that something like thus happened.

2013 Audi A4 with a 2. 0 turbo engine approximately 62. 5k miles and up to date with all services. I was driving on the highway at highway speeds when the engine suddenly started to misfire with a partial loss of power making the car difficult to steer. At that time the check engine light was not illuminated. I was able to get off the highway and drive home about 2 miles away from when the misfires first occurred. The police did not get involved as I was able to return home. The following week the car was towed to my mechanic where it was diagnosed that cylinder 3 had a problem. At that time the check engine light illuminated. He recommended that I tow my car to the Audi dealership as they have better availability of parts. The dealer took apart the engine and diagnosed a broken piston ring which destroyed many other parts of the engine. The engine had to be replaced with a new one from the factory. Audi should be held accountable for catastrophic engine failures that may result in injury to others due to poor engine design.

On my car when I'm driving anywhere after I put my cruise control on if I press up or down on the cruise control to change the speed the car will either brake or speed up and it won't stop until I hit my brakes hard and turn the cruise control completely off which is also an issue because my brakes are going out extremely fast like I need a new pair every 2-3 months and the car also burns through oil so quickly that I need to add more within 2-3 days after an oil change with no leaks and it's burning more oil than gas which is clogging up my catalytic converter. . . . . . . . And causing my emissions to be bad. . . . .
