In connection to my previous filing : NHTSA tracking # 11641542, please see the below, thank you. On June 24, 2022, I checked my 2018 Audi A5 into Audi cherry hill’s service department to diagnose and repair an issue with the front right tire. The dealership indicated that service would take approximately two days. However, upon returning for an update, I was shocked to learn that my car had been towed—without my knowledge, consent, or any lawful justification. Suspicious connection to ecu failure & Audi’s potential non-compliance with NHTSA Audi cherry hill’s owner, amanda demateo, attempted to justify the tow by stating that my ecu replacement two years earlier had been performed at wynnewood Audi (sept 2019) not cherry hill. This raises serious concerns about a second ecu failure, which Audi may have sought to conceal. If Audi company failed to report an initial ecu failure to the NHTSA in 2019, a second failure would highlight this noncompliance. Audi cherry hill's actions appear to be linked to an attempt to obscure a recurring issue with the vehicle's electronic control unit (ecu). Audi cherry hill’s owner, amanda demateo, attempted to justify the unauthorized towing by stating that my previous ecu replacement had not been conducted at her dealership, implying an effort to avoid responsibility. This raises suspicion that my tire malfunction was a consequence of another ecu failure, possibly affecting the tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) through an electrical malfunction. Given these violations and Audi cherry hill’s failure to act in accordance with consumer protection laws, I request a thorough investigation and appropriate enforcement action. I urge you, please to investigate Audi’s failure to report ecu failures to the NHTSA and whether my issue was part of a larger defect pattern. Thank you.

Rear backup camera displays black screen when engaging into reverse gear. This happens 95% of the time. Begun occurring after 10k dealer service. Probably related to recall on 2022 models with same infotainment system.
Driving down the road, my sunroof "exploded" today. Only damage was to the sunroof itself but very scary. Felt like an explosion, fortunately did no have any accident associated with this. Less likely anything dropped from above. Weather was good today.

The water pump system is leaking, and also the after water pump is malfunctioning. I was in danger when driving and the "turn off engine and check coolant levels" warning light message turned on. The engine was very hot and I was at risk of a fire. The issue has been confirmed by an auto repair shop for Audis, that was close to me. They sent me a detailed diagnostic. I also have a recall letter for the water pump, that I got in the mail a few days ago, so I'm looking to be paid the cost of this repairs. Thank you.

The electronic trunk of my Audi A5 failed to stop closing once it hit me on the head. The hatch kept closing in until I was able to move my body out of the way however at this point the hatch already caused a laceration to my skull which resulted in a visit to the emergency room. Vehicle was parked and the engine was on.
While driving on a straight, flat section of I-95 in florida at 70mph, my 2 year old 2018 Audi A5 cabrio's driver's side sun visor suddenly broke off at its base and landed with force on my steering wheel. I'd moved the visor into the up position, flush with the frame, and in doing so, the visor broke off at the base. I had not, nor had I ever, moved the visor with a lot of force. Even when the car was new, the visor had always been too tight, too short, and difficult to move. The resultant distraction of a heavy visor dropping onto my steering wheel caused me to swerve at 70mph. Fortunately traffic was light that day and no accident occurred. Due to a design flaw, the visor can't swing on its support bar as it should. After it broke off, I had to use vise grips to make it swing at all. I then tried lubricating the support bar inside the visor with wd-40, which did not help. Had I tried to reattach the visor with glue, the torque on the support bar caused by the visor's inability to swing freely on its axis suggests that it would instantly break off at the base again. The passenger side visor has not fallen off yet, but the same design will cause that to happen eventually. This vehicle had a 4 year/50k mile warranty, but I had just exceeded the mileage limit so it was no longer warranted. I notified both my Audi dealer and Audi USA about this safety issue. Audi USA says that they will not issue a service advisory or recall, and will not cover the present and future damage to both visors. Despite the sun visors being necessary safety equipment - especially in florida - Audi denies any culpability for this problem. There are many anecdotes online of this same problem from other drivers of this same year/make/model/interior color, and it is not unique to my vehicle. More specifically all the other incidents are happening to Audis with dark gray visors like mine.
The sunroof exploded. I was driving and heard a loud noise. I look around because it sounded like a tire blowout. I continued to drive, and once I reached my destination, stopped and opened the door to exit the vehicle, I heard a loud pop like a gun shot. Immediately glass flew everywhere. I was located in the parking lot of picadilly restaurant when the explosion occurred.

Nhtsa recall # 18v229 - (Audi recall 19n4) no action available at this point nor clarification to keep the car outside not in garage - it's a convertible, so outside storage can damage top. .
Top view camera changing to graphic mode on its own. (1) this is a safety-related defect due to the distracting nature of the unpredictability of the state of the backup camera, the cognitively complex and distracting steps needed to change to camera view while backing up, and the safety issue caused by not having the cameras work properly; (2) this affects nearly every Audi with this option sold in the 2018 model year; and (3) Audi has acknowledged this safety issue but has refused to offer any solution for over a year -- and more importantly, has continued to knowingly sell thousands of vehicles with this defect, and has misrepresented the safety features of these cars.
Vehical speeds forward when turning when stepping on brakes.
Was leaving house, car started shaking violently so I drove back home, engine light turned on. Have been waiting long before this happened to hear back from Audi about oil consumption warranty recall, car was under 80k mi at the time I made report, had already paid for the required tests they needed, took them 4 months to finally get back to me. Received special case since it was a pre owned vehicle & could not provide them with the service maintenance records since I had just purchased vehicle, not the dealership nor Audi have been helpful with obtaining that information. Now they are saying they are not willing to fix it or buy back.
Factory installed convertible top has come loose from the back glass window (glue separated) causing a safety concern while driving. Could become a projectile.

The soft tops for this vehicle are extremely defective. I aquired my vehicle at 65000 miles and the top would act funny every now and then but it would snap out of it and work fine. The back window completely detached from the top and has not operated since. Going back and forth with Audi I was told they cannot fix this but instead to get a new top. After I paid for them to look at it and the technician didnt have a clue. That window and top has been a common issue it seems like Audi doesnt want to own up to. I drive the freeway to and from work everyday. At high speeds I fear that thing will come out and hurt someone on the freeway one day soon. I have been dealing with this since last year and have not found a solution besides "get a new top".
Car was in park with emergency brake light on. Wheels turned to the right and tight to the curb. Somehow the car rolled down hill and struck a tree. The vehicle was totaled. The police took pictures of the interior showing both the in park light and the emergency brake light on. There is no logical explanation.
Water pump coolant campaign my auto body shop said my car is leaking coolant and theres a campaign out on the water pump. I'm asking if you could push the campaign through and recall the water pumps to fix this issue as I'm afraid my car will break down.
