1 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 10/06/2006

Transmission went out with now warning at 62,000 miles. . . It was very jolting and hard jerking of the vehicle.

2 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2005

Car hesitates when pulling from a stop. Hesitation appears to be transmission related. Transmission is Audi/zf tiptronic automatic. Hesitation is unpredictable, and can last for several seconds. I have had a number of near misses as I pulled into traffic and have had to quickly shift to reverse and get out of the way of oncoming vehicles. Audi states that their transmission is working as designed. I believe this because my research indicates this to be a know behavior of the tiptronic transmission as used in Audi and some Volkswagen vehicles. Vw/Audi needs to fix this problem before someone gets seriously injured or killed.

3 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2003

Vehicle exhibits delay from a stop when depressing the gas pedal. Very dangerous when crossing oncoming traffic.

4 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 04/30/2001

There were problems getting the parts needed to fix the transmission. Audi used my car to train mechanics, rather than replacing the entire transmission and get my car back to me in a timely manner. The wrong parts were ordered, when the right parts were ordered they were not machined to proper tollerances. The car was delivered missing crucial parts in the transmission!.

5 Automatic Transmission problem

Transmission/automatic - no response from gas pedal when attempting to accelerate from rolling stop. Car then high-revs and finally jerks forward, after an approximate 1-2 second delay.

6 Automatic Transmission problem

Consumer is upset because he had to have a brand new transmission replaced. After taking transmission to mechanic, he was told that he needed transmission replaced because it was not working properly. Also, it was hesitating at slow speeds, clumping when it was going in and out of 1st to 2nd gear. In addition, vehicle was revving at 6000 rpms before shifting into gear.
