While driving 60 mph on the freeway, the car accelerated on its own to 72 mph as if going into cruise control. Confirmed the cruise control switch was turned off. Applied the brakes seven times. Car did not respond to braking. Engine seemed to race against the brakes. I put the car in neutral, moved to side of the road. Applied the hand brake. Turned key off. Car slowed then stopped. Since this incident the car was test driven twice by mechanics, during which it seemed to operate normally. On January 27, 2015 the car was taken to the local dealer, bellevue Audi, for diagnosis. Awaiting results.

Good afternoon, first I would like for you to recall the number of cases where police officers were getting cancerous tumors in their necks due to the radar units being mounted on the back or front dash board back in the late 1970's and early 1980's. Also the number of incidents where the police officers were getting testicular cancer from putting the radar guns between their legs when they were not using them. I have a radar wave detection device in my automobile. When I am near a late model Audi [ up to 1/8 of a mile] , my detection device alerts me that a "k" band radar wave is detected. . So my question is simple. Are the side motion detection devices now being installed in Audi and other makes safe for the general public, not just the Audi customers? Audi is aware of the issue. Thanks you.

We have a 2005 Audi A6 purchased cpo in 06. We recently had issues with brake module issues that are still there but waiting on the recall for this issue. Now we have an issue with our mmi system which is the entertainment part of the car. It controls the music, navigation, and some convience features. I have seen a lot of Audi owners with this mmi problem as well. There seems to be a trend with Audi vehicles now. I would think when you make a luxury purchase such as this you would not have these kinds of issues. Certainly if you are not abusing the car in any way. This also needs to be a part of a recall. The first indication was I could not reset the battery after the replacement which was not done by Audi. Then I took it to them to reset the battery level and recode the mmi and Audi could not do it? there is an issue here. . . .

Was driving at approximately 30 mph when the car made a "clunk" sound and I lost any ability to control the vehicle. I pressed the accelerator and nothing happened. The steering wheel completely locked and I had no ability to turn the wheel. I coasted down a hill and the wheel unlocked, but I had no power steering and still no ability to accelerate. I was able to get the car into a parking lot and had it towed to the tucson arizona Audi dealer. They have yet to figure out what the problem was. They replaced the fuel pump twice and tried to run the vehicle but can't keep it running for more than 2 minutes. The car keeps "seizing" up is what the service shop tells me. They still can't fix it and the car only has just over 5,000 miles on it.
I parked my car Friday night when I came from work. I woke up Saturday morning I had a flood in my passenger side front and back I checked all windows was shut so I went to mech and he says with this model from 2001 to 2004 he seen this problem a lot it's a clogged drain so he said its a default on Audi.

My sunroof will not retract. .
Catalytic converters (2 front) need to be replaced. And the check engine light is on steady, indicates engine misfire.
Driving home tonight my car all of a sudden started accelerating (I drive an Audi A6 1999). Using the brakes I was able to slow it down enough to get off the freeway though my brakes seemed to be fighting against the car. I rolled through two stop signs as my car would not stop and luckily avoiding the other cars waiting there I was able to put my car in park and turn off the engine. I waited ten minutes or so and tried starting my car. The engine revved to 4 to 5000 rpms so, I quickly shut it off again. I waited again, tried it once more and the car started fine. I drove home, called the dealership and was told I could be seen on 02/14/11. Four days from now. This is the second time this has happened.
Normal driving conditions. The instrument display doesn't work, and I can't see vital safety and hazardous failures of the vehicle and/or parts, also the rear view mirror has a fluid type substance that clouds the viewing area and it may leak this fluid onto the electronics below. I had to replace both of these items and I have them both.
