Blind Spot Detection Problems of Audi Q5

System does no longer work. Audi montgomery inspected the vehicle and deamed that both side blind spot warning components have failed. People come to trust the system and when it fails they would lane change, not be warned and cause an accident. Dealer comfirmed failed components. Opened a concern with Audi USA and was told I am responsible for repairing the failed system. 6/19/2025.

I have a 2018 Audi Q5. The electrical system basically went into complete failure, and upon taking it to the dealership, was told the sunroof draining system "clogged" and the flooding caused by this caused the damage. After significant research online, I have noted this seems to be a very well-known issue.

The side assist went out and I had it replaced at the dealership. I paid out of pocket for this cost. The engine had been burning oil then started causing problems while driving prompting me to take into the dealership. I was informed that the engine is in backorder and it’s been a year since I’ve been waiting. I purchased the car used with around 79,000 miles on it around February 2023.

Paid for fuel pump when should b covered on recall.

SUV has major blind spot on side view mirrors. Also, consume excessive amounts of engine oil. Audi needs to include the Q5 2016 year in a class action lawsuit. Outrageous!!!!!.

We have looked at so many aidi's, at other dealers, before this, and because of the pandemic they were very short on stock. . My last three SUV's always had all the safety equipment. The issue here is they didn't tell show us the window sticker and it was not a round. Us about the missing safety equipment, we have had this vehicle about 6 months and it is very unsafe to drive. We have had several close calls, due to the missing safety equipment. I tried to get to get Audi America and the dealer to add the missing safety equipment. Including . It is standard on all premium plus modeds side assist (blind spot) rear cross traffic adaptive cruise control it's also missing the. . . . . Phone box, toll module, and power steering column. I found out later after they emailed the widow sticker that they took off about $1500 from the price of the car. I would be happy today if the added the missing modules, and safety equipment. I would be happy to give them back the amount they they deducted. At my age of 82, I need this equipment, that my other SUV had. John harn.

I am reporting Audi side assist system fault. Audi assist among other things provides blind spot warning and is major safety feature in the car. Basically when I am switching lanes on, I get existance of car in blind spot. When driving in January I received warning message that said Audi side assist system fault. I scheduled service for Feb 3 and the car was repaired by Feb 4. Originally they suspected accident or repair work done around the back bumper. Later they realized that none was done and fixed the issue by "alignment". During that work they found out that the two assist modules have different versions which is surprising since all my service was done at Audi san jose dealership and never repaired that function. This means that my car original parts has version mismatch. The function worked ok for several weeks but failed again on April 1. I still did not repair it but I am scheduled on may 10 (earliest date). The fault is still on!.
