Takata inflators. I have been waiting for over 6 months for my vehicle to be fixed from the takata airbag issue. I was told again 4/17/2018 that the parts are not available. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle and want Audi to pay for a loaner vehicle until the parts are replaced and the vehicle is safe to drive. Please let me know what we can do to get these parts in and replaced.
Takata recall. I called Audi of princeton NJ and they inform me the parts are backordered, with no idea of the eta. This is concerning given the dangerous nature of the airbag inflator could potentially rupture due to propellant degradation.
Takata recall NHTSA recall number: 16v078 recall date: February 9, 2016 manufacturer recall number: 69n1 summary: takata has reported that the driver frontal airbag inflator could potentially rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the frontal airbags are designed to deploy. In the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. Safety risk: as reported by takata: in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. Remedy: replace driver airbag inflator. Recall status: recall incomplete it has now been 17 months since a recall was issued. We have contacted our Audi dealership on 6 separate occasions to schedule the repair. Each time, we have been informed that the part is not yet ready, and that we are "in queue for the next round of repairs. " it is utterly unacceptable that in 17 months, the responsible manufacturers have not produced enough parts to meet the demand of a potentially fatal flaw, and service providers are unable to provide any timeline for when recall requests will be fulfilled! as of July 11,2017, Audi is still unable to provide us of even a date when this recall can be addressed.

Hello, there is an open recall for my 2001 Audi start date: Feb 09, 2016, Audi action code: 69n1 description: takata has reported that the driver frontal airbag inflator could potentially rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the frontal airbags are designed to deploy. In the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. Nhtsa recall number: 16v078 so the driver airbag inflator has to be replaced. I brought my car to the Audi service (3200 columbia pike, arlington, va 22204). I was told that the airbag inflator replacement campaign is expected to start not earlier than September 2017. Since I am leaving the USA in August 2017 and I am planning to bring my car to my country bulgaria, I would like to ask for professional advice what should I do. I would be grateful if you can assist in connecting me with the producer takata to help me with resolving the issue.
Takata recall - about 6 months ago, I asked the Audi dealer about this recall and was told they didn't have the parts yet and they would notify me when they did. Now I've received a legal notice in the mail, regarding takata inflators. I would like assistance with getting mine replaced. I have not been in an accident, but would like to prevent problems.

Takata recall . It has been over 6 months since receiving a notice from Audi north America relating to the takata airbag inflator recall on this vehicle. I phoned the dealership last month and they said they still don't have a fix for this recall. I feel Audi should be more proactive in fixing this issue especially if it could be life threatening to drive the vehicle. I do not want to wait and see if metal shards will go flying thru me in the event of an airbag deployment. Nothing has happened yet but I want this recall issue fixed by the dealer.

Takata recall why is the "remedy" for the driver airbag inflator not yet available? the recall date is a full 6 months old. This is preposterous when Audi and takata know the fix involves the installation of a new inflator. . . We have no incident (death or injury) to report at this time. How many deaths are needed to force the hand of takata and/or Audi?.
Takata recall vehicle had a recall of the takata air bags, but the recall notice states that no solution is currently available. I know that 100 million vehicles have been recalled so there is a backlog. I am concerned by this delay as the recall was issued months ago and still no word on the replacement air bags. We live in a hot humid climate where these inflators are more prone to failure. Please put pressure on takata to expedite this recall. My families lives are at risk.
Takata recall: this has been known since February 9, 2016. I have not been notified until I went in almost 1 year after purchasing the vehicle to get my vehicle appraised and it wasn't even Audi until I went there and was told to wait until there is a part for the airbags or if I feel that unsafe to trade it in for another vehicle. Which is also unfair because it's true trade-in value isn't $21,00-$24,000. So failure to notify owner and this is what I found online: "remedy: replace driver airbag inflator. Recall status: recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available " according to safercar. Gov this has become a growing safety issue for my passengers, pets, and myself. It is a disappointment and makes me not want to rely on Audi and drive the vehicle I have purchased after working hard in earning it. They are taking quiet some time and should have thought of another alternative beside the obvious remedy: replace driver airbag inflator. Recall status: recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available.
