Rearview System Braking Problems of Audi Q5

The vehicle triggers the braking system when there is nothing in the road, this has happened when turning across traffic, into parking lots, and when just driving on a road. Luckily this has not caused a crash yet but it has a high likelihood of causing a crash if not properly fixed by Audi. Occasionally the sensors stop working and the seatbelts tighten aggressively. This is especially risky because my wife is pregnant and this tightens for no reason around the baby. This has happened many times in the short time I’ve owned this vehicle.

The rear view camera is not operating when shifting to reverse. I can demonstrate this malfunction at any time to anyone. Driver is unable to detect short objects or small children directly behind the vehicle. The problem was confirmed by the dealer during a service visit. At that time, the service technician checked power and ground to the control unit and verified good. Attempted calibration for camera, vehicle would not calibrate. The vehicle has not been inspected by any other agencies. There were no warning messages, or lamps or any other symptoms prior to the failure.

We have looked at so many aidi's, at other dealers, before this, and because of the pandemic they were very short on stock. . My last three SUV's always had all the safety equipment. The issue here is they didn't tell show us the window sticker and it was not a round. Us about the missing safety equipment, we have had this vehicle about 6 months and it is very unsafe to drive. We have had several close calls, due to the missing safety equipment. I tried to get to get Audi America and the dealer to add the missing safety equipment. Including . It is standard on all premium plus modeds side assist (blind spot) rear cross traffic adaptive cruise control it's also missing the. . . . . Phone box, toll module, and power steering column. I found out later after they emailed the widow sticker that they took off about $1500 from the price of the car. I would be happy today if the added the missing modules, and safety equipment. I would be happy to give them back the amount they they deducted. At my age of 82, I need this equipment, that my other SUV had. John harn.

The rear view camera fails during use. Frozen images and black screens.

I have an issue with my vehicle where when the car is in reverse gear, the video from the camera sometimes is shaky, and sometimes instead of showing a rear camera, it shows a front camera, and sometimes the rear cross-traffic warning doesn't work even when in reverse gear when this video malfunction happens. It happened a few times and took me to the dealership for service. When they try to reproduce, it didn't, however, after a few days it started happening. I have few videos of this instance.
