At 40,398 miles the crankshaft dampener pulley failed breaking off at the hard rubber center in turn throwing the sepentine belt. At that point power steering was lost along with all other functions driven by the sepentine belt. An internet search turned up a number of Audi owners having the same happen to them between 40 to 50,00 miles. This safety failure at such low mileage is unwarranted. The replacement part appears to have been redesigned and more robust . . Audi must realize that the original part was faulty. For me, thankfully it happened while I was stopped at a traffic light and not traveling at speed on the highway.

From time to time, after the auto engine shutoff engages, when I release the brake and the engine restarts, power steering isn't available for roughly 5 seconds (the car is un-steerable). This happens when the car is at a complete stop, and I'm attempting to start moving again. I've learned to put the car into "sport mode" so I don't risk my life and my families lives. The dealership claims there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. :(.

Clicking noise while stoping and buzzing while turning. I am not alone, but there are thousands like owners complaining about this , why no official is asking Audi to fix it? or do we need fire and crashes and life losses for nhts to issue a recall?.

2015 Audi Q7 tdi premium plus - driver side suspension makes a dull rattling noise during driving. Either bad tie-rod bushings or a bad strut which rattles up and down creating the noise. Concerning at highway speeds.

The brakes have squealed since 3k miles. No matter the weather conditions may be. We have been told that is normal, but I am researching otherwise. At 5am leaving the home, the brakes squeal, at 2pm squealing, 5pm squealing, midnight squealing. For being a luxury vehicle I love and trust, this makes me extremely nervous and embarrassed when neighbors are out and hear this squealing. The brake foot pedal does not glide when being used. The steering wheel has a locking motion when being used on turns.
1. Driving 2017 Audi Q7 (mileage 17017) on I-85 close to the richmond, va. Dry, straight and no traffic road. 2. Both hands keep on steel wheel, car lost control, lane keep did not work, tried used the steel wheel to adjust, the steel wheel over response. 3. The car went to left and right, rollover, and crash. 4. Had sent car in dealership two times to repairing auto brake problems (this car did not stop but speed up even front car very close, I need use brake to prevent forward collision multiple times), still did not fixed, went on 7/8/2017 without appointment, dealer schedule full. 6. One time to repairing safety surround-view exterior camera. Three time recalls repair. 7. Car had multiple time error messages in 17 months, such as adaptive cruise control unavailable, Audi pre-sense currently restricted. 8. Car add on multiple safety features, Q7 premium plus with enhanced safety features driver assistance package (adaptive cruise control, Audi active lane assist, high-beam assistant, improved forward collision mitigation system, Audi pre-sense). 9. Vision package (Audi virtual cockpit, full led headlights, surround-view camera, pedestrian detection, night vision, rear cross-traffic detection, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition). 10. We added the enhanced safety features in Audi Q7, but just one year and five months, in the straight and dry road, no traffic and no reason, still in warranty period, car crashed, and total lose. The car has more safety features than any my other cars but provides much less safety, my wife and I almost lose our life.
Randomly, when the vehicle comes to a stop, the wheel will turn to the right 90 degrees, yet the car would go straight. This happens randomly when driving too. The wheel turns to the right 90 degrees, yet the car go straight. You have to force the steering wheel back to straight. Dealer says nothing is wrong with the vehicle and can't duplicate the events. A loud clunking/banging noise when the car is shifted into reverse. The whole vehicle will shake. The dealer did duplicate the noise, yet they couldn't tell us what was causing it so they replaced the differential. That didn't stop the noise, so the dealer brought in a technician from corporate. This person found nothing wrong. After having the car to the dealer 5 times, they told us there is nothing wrong. Many times, the back-up camera will not turn off after the car goes from reverse to drive. This means the radio/navigation can't be used. Sometimes when the car is put into drive from reverse, the camera would turn off, but the radio would not turn back on. When the car was in park and not running, the radio will turn on when the car door was opened and can't be turned off. To reset things, the car has have to be turned off and restarted or turned on and then off and then restarted. This is the only way to resolve this problem. Also, when trying to open the back hatch using the release on the driver door, it wouldn't work. You needed to turn the car off, then back on, in order to get it to work.
There is a steering lock problem. I was told that the steering could lock while driving. This is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed. The scanner reads "steering lock actuator". Please have this issue addressed.

At slow speed 10mph, every time you turn the steering wheel the front suspension makes a clicking, popping noise which is very annoying and don't know if its safe to drive, the front suspension might just pop out.
