37 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2014 Audi S6

Failure Date: 08/05/2020

Suspension was replaced at 40,000 miles do to normal wear and tear. That was Audi excuse. Suspension was replaced again at 63,000 miles. Engine mounts and transmission mounts were replaced at 63,000. Now at 75,000 miles, engine camshaft has failed and almost caused me to lose control of the car. Oil is changed every 3k miles and all maintenance is up to date and always done on time or before required. Car always smell like gas. Inspection found no issues. At this point, I am concerned with the safety of myself and my family because this car is a daily driver. I have contacted Audi of USA for assistance. But Audi is unresponsive. I have all service records but unable to upload due to file size restrictions.

38 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

Failure Date: 07/29/2020

The turbos on the car both broke at the intermediate shaft before 75,000 miles. The car was cruising on the freeway, and the moment I slowed down to take the exit, the car lost power and shut down. I had to make an emergency stop on the side of the exit with little to no room to pull over.

39 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

Failure Date: 07/15/2020

Suspension control arm bushings worn out causing squeaking and unexpected vehicle path during acceleration in all situations. Oil filter under pvc valve clogged and starved turbocharger of oil causing failure.

40 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

Failure Date: 07/11/2020

While driving in city traffic, the car went into limp mode with some new lights on the dashboard. Before I could get to a safe place, it completely died and almost caused an accident. I was stuck until I had help pushing the car off the road. Upon reading the obdii computer codes and then confirming with a professional mechanic, both turbos had blown. There was little warning, and no time to have a safe option once the warning light came on. Upon reading up on this platform, Audi has a defective oil screen that gets clogged and oil starves the turbos which makes them fail prematurely. Hopefully, they will fix this issue moving forward.

41 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

Failure Date: 04/08/2020

Turbos are damaged and the dealer said it will cost $13,000. 00 to fix I had warrantee till 120k or 7 years and it happened at 7 years one month and 116,000 miles. Audi of America where not willing to help even though there was grinding that occured two months before the warrantee time. It happened when in motion driving from startup.

Turbocharger experienced a failure. Car was diagnosed and the turn shafts have excessive end play.

43 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

Failure Date: 01/09/2020

Car stopped while driving on public road and shut off while on road. Cel went on and all systems lit up on dash as failed. T.

44 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

Failure Date: 11/05/2019

There have been numerous recalls for my 2013 Audi S6 pertaining to the turbocharged engine. Most recently, over the last 2 weeks I noticed decreasing gas mileage and increasing turbo lag but the car still ran "normally" overall. Then, 1 day ago it made intermittent metallic sounds at startup but then still ran normally. Then, the next day the car had the same startup sounds but then had a rough idle at stoplights. I stopped for gas and the car wouldnt restart at the gas station. It was towed to Audi where the car was diagnosed with catastrophic failure of both turbochargers and quoted approximately $10,000 to fix. Being a 2013 Audi S6 model with 60,000 miles on it, it is outside of Audi's 48 month/50,000 mile warranty. This is known issue for 2013-2016 Audi sedan owners, particularly the 2013 S6. This car was previously owned by someone who had it serviced at Audi dealerships and I have purchased Audi care maintenance packages which I have had performed at their recommended intervals at the dealership for the last 3 years. There has been a technical service bulletin made for this known issue. I had a previous engine TSB that Audi originally had me pay $2300 for to fix, however a year later I received a recall notification and that money was refunded. There was also a previous recall relating to the turbocharged seals and coolant lines. All of these service recalls have been performed. Clearly there is a engineering issue with this model engine.

45 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2014 Audi S6

Failure Date: 10/19/2019

The turbo charger bearings broke and destroyed the entire engine. The car only has 64,000 miles on it, I have since heard of many other people having this problem. The estimated repair bill from the Audi dealer was $48,000, yes that's not a typo, $48,000 is way more than the car is even worth. We still owe $30,000 on a car that is essentially worthless without a running engine and is too expensive to fix. I believe Audi should do something about this since this is a known issue.

46 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2017 Audi S6

Failure Date: 06/10/2019

Oem turbos fail on Audi 2013-2017 S6/s7/s8/rs6/rs7 due to oil starvation caused by clogged oem oil strainer. This is a safety issue as the failure happens without warning and as it generally happens while while driving the sudden loss of power could lead to a serious accident. This issue appears to be wide-spread based on discussions available on online forums. Audi is aware of these failures and has issued TSB's that identify the turbo oil strainer as the culprit but they have not issued a recall. There have also been various revised versions of this oil strainer over time, each one being less restrictive than the prior. $10k+ repair every 30-50k miles is unreasonable due to fact that oil strainer has been identified to be defective and updated several times by Audi.

47 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

Failure Date: 01/20/2019

48 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

49 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

Failure Date: 04/09/2018

Engine experience a sudden loss of power while driving on the highway at highway speeds. This was very scary as I was with my family. I pulled over and engine completely cutoff and failed to turn over. Had to get car towed over 50miles to the Audi dealer where they diagnosed the problem as blown turbos caused by a clogged oil screen which is buried deep in the engine not easily accessible and found out Audi has revised this part a few times car only had 42675k miles and was maintained through there maintenance program.

50 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

Failure Date: 05/01/2017

Oem turbos fail due to oil starvation , caused by oem oil strainer and pvc valve ( several revisions have been made since cars was produced ) also numerous others have had the same issues.

51 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2013 Audi S6

Failure Date: 03/01/2013

I put my car in reverse gear and then pressed slightly on the gas pedal. The car didn't move. I checked my hand brake and regular brake. Both were disengaged. So I pressed a little more and more. The engine began to growl like crazy and the car refused to even move. Then all of a sudden the car just launched itself. I nearly hit another car. It was very scary. I switched the car off and then tried again. This time no trouble. Similar thing happened when I was exiting a parking lot. Fired my car up, put my car in "d". Pressed on the gas pedal. Car wouldn't move. Pressed more and more, nothing !! the engine was growling like crazy all this while. Then suddenly the car launches itself like crazy. I almost hit another car coming from the opposite direction. Again, when I shut down the car and switched it back on it seemed to work fine. This happens very often. I have written to Audi but heard nothing.
