I bought a cpo 2009 Audi Tt shortly after purchasing I noticed that when I put the car in reverse it would not find a gear. The car would have to be restarted to correct the issue . I told the mechanic at my 6000 mile check that the car was not finding a gear when I put the car in reverse. He then said that all the readings from the car did not show an issue. At my 16000 mile service again told the rep that I was experiencing the same issue. He again stated no errors found. Then at 19000 miles my check engine light came on. The car began to drive kind of harsh at low speeds and I was experiencing the flashing lights of pnrds more often at least three times a week when switching to reverse. I took it in for the check engine light described the issue again to my service guy. He said they would look at it. Come to find out they said they needed to change the transmission control module unit and I would not receive my car for two weeks. I picked up my car verified with service rep the car was in good standing with warranty recalls he assured me everything was fine and the issue had been corrected. I had the car for no more than 12 hours before the flash of death pnrds appeared except this time I almost rolled into a car while parking. I immediately called the rep to discuss that this is some bs. So I took the car in and he said some bs how he took the car to some Audi car maintenance guy and they said I would need a whole new transmission addition, I noticed that when moving the car from drive to park that was a double clicking sound and what can best be described a double lurching of the car when going to drive. So Audi released a car they said was fine and it didn't work past 12 hours. I am over Audi. I am currently in the process having them buy back the car because I have been without my car for a month. Pay 45k for a car it should work for more the 19k miles.

Volkswagen of America dba Audi of America initiated a recall on my car, alleging there were "defective welds" in a seam on the clutch. The recall is documented under recall campaign "ja". Audi sent me notice that they were going to replace the clutch. Audi of America sent a notice to their dealers performing the recall work, that there was, "additional corrective action" they wanted performed to the car during the recall. They did not disclose this action to me or obtain my permission to perfom the "additional corrective action". When my car was returned to me, the dealer, apparently under instruction from Audi of America, disabled an electronic feature of the car, electronic launch control, that was operating prior to taking the car in for the recall. Audi of America and the dealer did this without my knowledge or consent. Audi of America refuses to restore the feature to the car, or provide any explanation justifying their action.
