Wiring problems of the 2006 BMW 325

2006 BMW 325i the biodegradable wiring has deteriorated causing the directional and headlamps to fail resulting in expensive repairs and jeopardizes the safety of the drivers of the vehicle while in use.

3 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 10/25/2017

Nhtsa recall number 17v676 BMW still has not issued a response or a fix to this recall, which was sent out in October 2017. Blower motor wiring: this recall involves the wiring for the system, known as the blower-motor, that controls air flow for the heating and air conditioning system. Over time, the connection between the wiring and this system could deteriorate and, in rare cases, could lead to overheating.

4 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 01/26/2015

Tl-the contact owns a 2006 BMW 325i. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60 mph, there was a burning odor, black smoke started to roll out over the dashboard, the vehicle was filled with smoke. The fire was coming from underneath the steering wheel, the doors was locked, the windshield was busted, the wiring burned severely, warning indicators illuminated. The fire department was notified, the vehicle was totaled, the manufacturer was notified, the approximate failure mileage was 137,000. Rw.
