Structure Problems of BMW 325

Small crack has developed in the mat on the passenger side of vehicle and the air bag warning lamp is on. Nhtsa recall bulletin indicated there was a recall (reference number 08v384000) on the frontal air bags; however, the dealership said my VIN number was not listed. Called BMW north America customer relations and they said the same thing. I believe BMW should assume responsibility for this repair since they have a recall on over 200,000 vehicles and I am experiencing the exact same problem. Estimated repair is $1,500. Sunroof tabs broke, leaving the shade to get stuck almost always leading to the window to jam. I know this is a constant problem. Everyone I know with a 325i has the same problem as I.

The plastic clips that operate the sunshade on my 2002 325i have broken four times since I purchased the vehicle in 2003 requiring replacement. The first three times the dealer covered in full under the cpo warranty, which ran out in March 2008. Out of warranty costs are $350 to repair. Tried to get the dealer to cover this last repair, which I reported just two weeks after my extended warranty expired, but they refused.

Sand color strip that meets the dashboard is in consumer's line of vision. The consumer lives in an area where the temperature is hot therefore decided to purchase her vehicle with sand leather interior because it would be cooler. The consumer likes the interior but unfortunately the dashboard is black with a sand colored strip that meets with the black dash. The two colors cause a reflection on the windshield which results in poor visibility. During bright sunny days it almost impossible to see out the windshield. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer who suggested that they replace the dashboard and the strip to all black or all sand.

Water leaks into the rear driver's side passenger compartment, flooding the carpet underneath the floor mat. Happens nearly every time it rains heavily or when I wash the car. Have already taken car back to dealer for repair. They replaced the left rear door seals, but same water leaks continue to happen.

I am writing with regards to file# 0304924 a complaint with BMW north America. As you received copies of all BMW's communications with me you are aware that a final repair attempt letter was sent to me. I would like to make you aware that on 10-09-03i came out of my office and my front floorboard was full of water again. I called BMW and they requested that I bring the car in on 10-10-03. I also called mrs. Brandi dolfi at BMW north America and she is out of the office. This problem started well within the lemon law limits and I would like your help in resolving this issue. As a side note the car has been in the shop 4 other times for other structural problems since the last repair attempt in may of 2003. Any assistance you could give me in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
