One problem related to other fuel system tank mounting has been reported for the 2009 BMW 328. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2009 BMW 328i. Whenever the contact placed fuel in the fuel tank, she could only fuel the tank two dollars worth at a time to fill the tank. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to determine the cause of the failure. In addition, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 17v676000 (electrical system) and 17v683000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the parts needed for the repair were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact called BMW of west houston at (855) 627-3055 (located at 20822 katy fwy, katy, TX 77449) and was informed that the part was not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 52,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
