The contact received notifications of NHTSA campaign numbers: 17v676000 (electrical system) and 17v683000 (engine and engine cooling) however, the parts for the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The contact stated that whenever the vehicle is off there was a buzzing noise coming from underneath the hood of the vehicle near the motor. The contact contacted BMW kingston north carolina who informed the contact that they would need to properly diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle was diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure/issue and stated that if the failure related to the recalls they would later reimburse the contact. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000.
