The contact owns a 2014 BMW 328i. The contact stated that while driving at 75 mph, the vehicle stalled as the drive tran malfunction warning light illuminated. The contact managed to coast the vehicle to the shoulder of the road. The contact attempted to turn the vehicle off and on which failed to resume back to normal. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was the vehicle was diagnosed and determined that the fuel feed pump, high pressor fuel pump needed to be replaced. The technician informed the contact that the fuel pump failed to provided the correct fuel level sensors in the tank. No dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that no recalls was under the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 76,802.
