Warning Light On problems of the 2001 BMW 330

Two problems related to warning light on have been reported for the 2001 BMW 330. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2008

The contact owns a 2001 BMW 330ci. The contact noticed that the passenger air bag warning light would illuminate intermittently whenever the passenger seat was occupied. The failure would occur intermittently over a span of two years. The dealer was notified who informed the contact that the sensor pads located in the passenger seat would need to be replaced. The contact did not inform the manufacturer of the failure nor was the vehicle repaired. The current mileage was approximately 101,000 and the failure mileage was approximately 60,000. 2 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 10/16/2007

The contact owns a 2001 BMW 330ci. While driving 15 mph on normal road conditons; the passenger air bag warning light indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. There were occupants in the front passenger seat. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle has not been repaired. The contact is aware of the safety risk. The failure mileage was 50,000.
