Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problems of the 2011 BMW 335

Three problems related to front driver side air bag inflator have been reported for the 2011 BMW 335. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Nhtsa recall number: 16v071 recall date: February 5, 2016 driver's front air bag: during air bag deployment in an accident, the driver's front air bag module may produce excessive internal pressure that could cause the inflator to rupture. Complaint: it has now been 8 months and BMW still cannot tell me when the parts will come in. Here is what customerrelations@bmwusa. 2 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Feb 05,2016 manufacturer recall numberna NHTSA recall number16v071 recall status: recall incomplete driver's front air bag: during air bag deployment in an accident, the driver's front air bag module may produce excessive internal pressure that could cause the inflator to rupture. Even though recall begun a year and half ago, we still have not received our final notification letter yet from BMW. Everyday driving this vehicle, driver is at risk.

3 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2016

2011 BMW 335i. Consumer writes in regards to replacement parts not available to repair air bag inflator recall notice. The consumer stated the manufacturer advised the vehicle may not be repaired for another 22 months. The consumer feels that is an unreasonable amount of time. Updated 04/18/2016.
