Have not heard back from dealer for air bag recall. Car is also producing smoke in engine bay and strong smell of burning through vents is present. Receive notice of recall for blower motor wiring but the car is definitely well in need of recall service as smoke is very visible and burnin order is very apparent in engine bay and through vents.

I received a recall notice of a final remedy in July 2017. I have been on a waiting list for with a BMW dealership for months, who keeps telling me they are still waiting on the part from BMW n. A. The dealerships (fairfax, va and alexandria, va) are telling me that BMW n. A. Is the reason for the delay. They are simply not getting the parts in a "reasonable" period of time. How long is a "reasonable" period of time? a year?.
Takata recall: no fix for this recall and is unsafe to drive. Unable to resale or trade in at market value.

Takata recall- have notified global imports of marietta/atlanta georgia every month since I purchased this vehicle. They will not return calls or make appointment. They inform me that I will get email correspondence and I never do. Can you help?.
Takata recall I have contacted two BMW retailers in my area asking to schedule an appointment to have my airbags replaced and both responses were "we don't have the part but will order it and call you back when ready to schedule the replacement". I haven't heard back from either and I contacted BMW mountain view over 9 months ago and BMW peter pan over 4 months ago. I am deeply concerned for the safety of me and my family since there is a known defect in the airbag that could be deployed in the case of an accident. I hope this never happens but the fact there is a known threat in my car which could be life threatening at any moment and there is no urgency to resolve this issue from BMW or the airbag manufacturer is very disappointing.

Takata recall. Mfgr campaign #: si b65 15 16. BMW 2011 335i coupe. I've contacted my local BMW service center and they claim they have no parts available. I received the first recall notice last March 2016, and when attempting to set up an appointment, they said they do not have parts. It's now over a year and BMW is claiming the same thing. My car is out of warranty so it's not a "money maker" for them anymore. I'm tired of being lied to. How can the airbag be fixed?.

I was rear ended from a dead stop by a vehichle around 50 mph and my airbags malfunctioned. I had smoke coming from the dash but no actual air bag protected me by coming out. The seat belts are locked up and no longer work. The car then forced me to leave it in the middle of the road because it does not allow you to push it or put it into neutral in any fashion. This also forced it to be harmful to the vehicle to be put onto the tow truck because all wheels were locked up.
Takata recall. I purchased the vehicle in April 2017 from carmax with a open airbag recall and have been trying to get it done with the local BMW dealers since.
This car has been totaled out by my insurance company due to the frame being waped radiator busted suspension warped electrical issues with the blower motor this was the 1st first of my 4 Bmws to leave me owing money on a vehicle that isn't drivable location and issue unknown.
There are several light bulbs on the dashboard, such as the brakes on the belts and the airbags I need to know if any of this has a recall thanks.

Takada recall we received a recall notice in March 2016 (BMW recall campaign no. 16v-071) regarding the "driver's front air bag module". We have spoken and emailed our local BMW service center about having this part replaced and have been told repeatedly that they do not have the part. We contacted a customer service representative from BMW and were told that the part would not be available until June 2017 at the earliest. When I said that I thought that this was an unreasonably long time to replace a part that, if it ruptured, could cause serious injury or death to the driver and/or passengers, the BMW customer service representative told us that they received their time schedules from the NHTSA. It appears as if each level of the chain for solving this problem is more interested in finger pointing than solving a potentially life-threatening problem. It would be nice if the NHTSA would use their authority to "encourage" a speedier resolution to this issue.

Takata recall: I am still waiting for my recall to be fixed. I've read that they are fixing older models and those in high humidity first, but find it interesting that I received a notice to fix the recall on the 2013 leased BMW before my 2011 owned BMW. I live in FL and though I got the notice for the lease, I had already turned the lease back in and was no longer in possession of it. Now over a year later since the the beginning of the recall and still no replacement piece for my recall on an older model in high humidity. I turned in the lease in July of 2016 and got the notice about a week after turning it in and now 7 months after that and still no news on when my recall will be dealt with. Some information would be nice to owners still waiting for recalls.
