BMW 335 owners have reported 7 problems related to battery cable (under the electrical system category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My car was stationary and the electrical system would not respond. This has happened multiple times now. My key fob would not open the doors, no inside electronics on, ignition switch did not respond. This appears to be a common issue regarding the battery cable connector and the corresponding fuse box terminal degrading over time. This could cause the car to stall and lose power while driving, which can result in a crash. I drive on the highway each day to work and a complete loss of power would result in a serious incident.

Vehicle will occasionally lose all electrical power to the cabin of the vehicle. After research I found BMW recalls on the positive battery cable and its connection behind the fuse box. I accessed my cable behind the fuse box and moved the cable a small amount and power was restored. I assumed my vehicle would be covered under this recall since that is clearly the problem after taking the vehicle over 70 miles on way to the dealer they told me that my VIN number was not covered under this recall # 13v044000. My car has this problem and fits all the criteria listed on the BMW documentation for the recall.
Unable to open door, hesitation to start, abnormal display in the instrument cluster and the vehicle was stationary. There was a recall in 2013 for battery cable connector at battery and fuse box. I have not received any notification.

BMW said they replaced and fixed the air bag issue and battery cable (positive) recall. It's been over 2 weeks and I just searched on safercar. Gov and they both still show as open issues. Did BMW lie?.
