Vehicle Speed Control Problems of BMW 530

Brakes did not work properly, brakes were hard and vehicle was not stopping, the vehicle was difficult to control because steering wheel was very hard too. This incident caused the vehicle to take a significant distance to stop and almost cause a crash with the vehicle in front. The incident was reported to dealer, dealer representative said there was a recall on the ibs and requested vehicle to be taken to dealership to replace defective part of the ibs. This recall was never notified to us (customers) by the manufacturer nor by the dealer. No warning messages or symptoms were presented before the brakes failure. Defective part was replaced by dealer at not cost to the us (customers).

I was on a toll road/freeway overpass connecting to the 91 freeway in traffic going 60 mph when suddenly my car started breaking on its own (no car directly in front of me). I tried to accelerate but was unable to. My car continued breaking and slowing, there was no where to pull over, and finally I coasted to the 91 freeway where I was able to pull over. This was extremely dangerous to lose control of one's car in speeding freeway traffic. There was no warning sound or warning light, except for the 3 red people heads that indicate your back seat passengers need to fasten their seatbelts, but I didn't have any backseat passengers. I called irvine BMW to report my concern and their response was "I checked with a BMW genius who said your car is fine since the light is no longer on.

My airbag light is on and my transmission has an issue as if it needs to be replaced after research I found out that mechatronics and other components to be an issue for instance if your trying to pass your car stalls and says transmission failure after shutoff message disappears car will go in limp mode and car starts out in 2nd gear instead of 1st and 1st gear will also lock itself. . . . . This is dangerous for a supposed high end well built performance vehicle. Tranny has no issues computer does that causes shutter and stall limp mode nearly could have died.

The contact owned a 2007 BMW 530i. The contact stated while driving 30 mph, the vehicle surged forward until it crashed into a rock. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to an authorized dealer. The failure was not diagnosed. The contact sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered no assistance. The failure and current mileage was unknown. The VIN was unavailable.

We were driving on dry tarmac on a main street in new rochelle. We were traveling at a reasonable/slow rate of speed, about 25-30 mph and approached a stop light. As we slowed to stop at the light the breaks pulsed violently. It felt as if we had run over something, but I looked and there was nothing there. We looked to see if any warning lights activated to indicate a failure - but we didn't see any. We proceed to next light, and stopped again. This time there was no problem and no pulsing. My fiance was driving, and we both were carefully monitoring the car. As we pulled away from the light to make a left turn the car accelerated dramatically. My fiancee pushed hard on the brakes but the car continued to accelerate and fish tail. Then, after a couple seconds it stop and she regained control of the car.

I own a 2002 BMW 530i. Recently, the car accelerated to full throttle by itself. I reported incident to BMW. To summarize, they said there is nothing wrong with the car and it was probably the floor mat that caused the acceleration (that's right, the floor mat).

When the brakes were applied, the vehicle accelerated forward and collided into a wall. Dealer notified.

When driving at any low speed vehicle begins to race, then jumps forward. Dealer can't duplicate the problem.
