The contact owns a 2007 BMW Z4. After driving in the vehicle approximately 20 minutes the contact would become disoriented, experienced headaches and blurred vision. Upon inspection it was discovered that the muffler welding material had deteriorated and was damaged. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure and indicated that no exhaust leak was present. The contact later received a recall notice for he NHTSA campaign number 22v119000(engine and engine cooling). The manufacturer was contacted regarding the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 9,200.
