Front Seat Belt Retractor problems of the 1998 Buick Century

Two problems related to front seat belt retractor have been reported for the 1998 Buick Century. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Seat Belt Retractor problem

Failure Date: 04/08/1999

The rear seat belts are jammed into the retractor mechanism. The rear seat belt assembly has already been replaced. The dealer will not repair the problem free of charge. Buick refused to fix the seat belt because of the mileage on the vehicle.

2 Front Seat Belt Retractor problem

Left rear retractor on the seatbelt kept getting stuck and had to be replaced.
