Tire Tread/belt problems of the 1998 Buick Century

Two problems related to tire tread/belt have been reported for the 1998 Buick Century. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Tire Tread/belt problem

Failure Date: 07/22/2001

While traveling thirty-five to fourty-five mph on dry hot road conditions consumer's driver side orginial equipment genreal, ameri-xg45 tire size p205/70r15 experienced tread separation. Dealer has been contacted. The dealer and manufacturer have been contacted and consumer was denied any type of assistance.

2 Tire Tread/belt problem

Failure Date: 12/02/2000

Right front continental sport contac tire had a tread separation at 45 mph with driver and one passenger. Original equipment, tire size p205/70r15, dot# unavailable. The other 3 tired were cupping.
