Speed Control Linkage problems of the 1999 Buick Century

Two problems related to speed control linkage have been reported for the 1999 Buick Century. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Speed Control Linkage problem

Failure Date: 07/07/2000

When brakes were applied vehicle accelerated suddenly and unexpectedly. Dealer will be notified.

2 Speed Control Linkage problem

Failure Date: 10/18/1999

While pulling into a parking space, vehicle suddenly accelerated and hit the side of sears building. Driver sustained minor bruises, and cover from passenger's side caused front windshield to crack. Dealer / manufacturer notified.
