Equipment problem #1

Car stopped for no apparent reason while driving down the highway but started up immediately and continued driving home. Next week stopped again while driving as I pulled into the gas station but started up again and continued home. Next time driving no problems then stopped again while turning into the grocery store and again on way home while slowing down for a curve. Can't be trusted. Stops at 55 mph on the highway. Very dangerous! one mechanic thinks it needs new engine computer because he pulled all sensors for testing and car continued to run. However, he is only guessing and won't guarantee a fix if I have new computer installed.

Equipment problem #2

Driving on a country road the headlights went out. Hit the dimmer switch and they came back on. It did this about three times. Found out that if we tried to use the dimmer switch that the lights went out. Then it got to the point that the only way that you could use the bright lights was to hold the switch. Two weeks later went to the grocery store turned on the blinker to turn and the lights went out again. Had to pull the light switch on and luckily they came back on. Tonight we took the car out and the lights kept going out. This is on a 2004 Buick Century.
