The consumer was told she could not drive the vehicle because the abs light and the brake light illuminated. The mechanic stated it was the motor pack which had something to do with the abs. The consumer heard a chain clicking noise when the lights illuminated.

Failure Date: 09/29/2004

Buick Century 2001 dealer/repair told me that I needed to replace the ebcm and control arms after I complained about the slight shimmy on the right side at 55. They also said that they had received notice about this defect from the company, but no recall. I'm not clear why I should have to pay a bill of $1222. For a defect repair.
