Unknown Or Other problem #1

Instrument panel cluster faulty! the digital odometer does not work. The gear shift display (prnd321) does not work either! I have to feel when I switch from park to drive. During vehicle inspections I have to guess my correct milage, because it's blank! I replaced the instrument panel cluster on February 28, 2010. In October 2011 the explained problems reoccurred!.

Unknown Or Other problem #3

I have a 2002 Buick Century and have been told that the intake manifold gasket has to be replaced since gm did not issue a recall of which they should have. I am afraid I will break down in the car with no help. I am a widow who is currently unemployed and can not afford to fix the car. I have paid the car in full and just want them to fix what they screwed up. I was not even aware there was a problem until my low coolant light started coming on and I noticed there is a leak. ,.

2002 Buick Century, while driving approximately 60 mph the abs braking system light illumindated and the track off light illuminated. The contact staed once the vehicle was turned off and turned back on the light did not illuminate instantly but came back on after driving a few miles.

Unknown Or Other problem #6

My 20005 Buick Century, accelerated in a parking lot without my stepping on the gas. The car went air borne, jumping the curb going through a ditch and up an embankment before I was able to get the car under control. . This was the first occurrence.

Unknown Or Other problem #7

The contact owns a 2004 Buick Century. The contact stated that the seals with the vehicle frame failed. As a result, the floor of the vehicle would flood when it rains. The current and failure mileages were 70,000.

Unknown Or Other problem #8

I own (bought used) a 1999 Buick Century, at 27,000 miles my drivers windows regulator/motor went out. At 30,000 I hit a little bump while in a construction zone and the passenger side broke and fell down, of course I saw it and swerved a bit, but fortunately not too much. My mother owns a 2000 Buick Century, at 20,000 her drivers side window broke. . . . I am just waiting for a few more miles and then her passenger side will go. General motors needs to make these parts better. I do believe it is a safety issue, due to the general reaction of something happening like that while a person is driving.

Unknown Or Other problem #9

The odometer on my recently purchased 2002 Buick Century (from a Buick dealer with 22,000 miles and still under warranty) appears to be off by approximately 4%. On a recent trip of 450 miles (a trip taken and measured many times in the past), my ending trip mileage registered as 467 miles (an overage of 17 miles). On the return trip, I used numerous interstate mileage markers to compare distances. For each 100 miles traveled, the odometer registers it as 104 miles. To me, this is an issue of the speedometer not being correct, plus more miles are registering than are actually being placed on the vehicle. This affects service recommendations and the resale value of the vehicle. The dealer offered absolutely no help. Other than saying the mileage markers must be off - they suggested I use different size tires. (to my knowledge these are the original tires on the vehicle). Is there no way to recalibrate the speedometer?.

Unknown Or Other problem #10

Unknown Or Other problem #15

Paint is peeling around the wheel wells and the lower panel, it looks like there is no primer for the paint to stick to.

Unknown Or Other problem #16

Driver's side wiper arm becomes loose and eventually becomes inoperative. Dealer has adjusted this three time previously on warranty. In the latest incident I was passing an 18 wheeler during a driving rainstorm at night when the driver's side wiper suddenly locked up and stopped working. I am lucky to still be alive. Had I had an accident and been killed no one would have known or suspected the cause. On a previous occasion the driver's side wiper became enmeshed with the passenger side wiper and both wipers suddenly quit working. Had this happened and both wipers quit in this latest incident I very likely would have been killed. This happened in a 1998 Buick Century, but any gm car with a similar wiper design could potentially have this same problem. Any time a wiper arm is removed for any reason, care must be taken to ensure that it is properly tightened or it will begin to slip and eventually cause this same potentially fatal problem. Gm needs to issue torque specs for wiper arms.
