Coolant Leaking Problems of Buick Century

The contact owns a 2003 Buick Century. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for repair and they discovered an engine coolant leak. The dealer suggested that the head gasket be replaced. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure and current mileages were 30,800.

The contact owns a 1999 Buick Century. While driving approximately 55 mph, the temperature gauge increased and the contact began to smell burning antifreeze. The contact parked the vehicle and a mechanic stated that the intake gasket was leaking coolant and needed to be replaced. The current and failure mileages were 54,310.

Lower intake gasket leaking coolant heavily. Hopefully caught problem in time. $900 repair. This is a known gm problem that they will not address! this car should be recalled, or gm should provide help with repair costs!.

Brought vehicle to dealership for brake inspection. Was informed the lower intake gasket was leaking coolant. Had it replaced by dealership on 03/07/2006. On 06/28/2010, the same issue seems to be re-occurring. Should an intake gasket need replacing 2x's under normal driving conditions?.

Consumer states that coolant leaked and spewed all over the top of engine causing major engine failure. Ts.

I noticed smoke from the hood last month and called a mechanic out to check all the hoses. I took it to the original dealership where I purchased the car. There finding was that they found coolant leaking from the lower intake gasket. I could not get the repair done because of two reasons. This is my only form of transportation and money is scarce since I am a full time college student and mother. I have had many gm cars with over 100,000 cars before that never had this problem. I voiced my frustations to the manufactuer, who just simply stated tough luck. The dealership refused to give me an extended warranty above the intial manufacturing warranty. The engine has less than 60,000 miles and a major component already needs to be replaced. It does not matter if I was the original owner or not. I can be a future Buick owner, but after this whole situation I am going foreign. Dt.
