I was driving at night switched headlights to high beams - few minutes later switched back to low beams and all lights dash and head lights went completely out . Tried to pull head light knob and nothing - pitch black . Luckily I was a short distance from my home. This is extremely dangerous ! I have found 33 complaints (so far) about this same problem. This definitely should qualify and be recalled . Please take immediate action . Thank you.

The contact owns a 2000 Buick Century. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds, there was an abnormal odor inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the fuel pressure regulators failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer also became of fuel leaking form the fuel line. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 07e021000 (fuel system, other) as a possible solution to the failure however, the VIN was not included. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.

Horn button is part of air bag. The horn button shorts out and the horn blows all the time. Have to remove fuse to stop horn blowing. Had to replace air bag to fix. In a few months the problem reoccurred. Its too expensive to replace air bags so I am left without a horn this is a safety issue. Can the manufacturer provide a fix? the internet shows this is a very common problem for a lot of gm cars.

I have had to replace three different window regulators and now I am replacing the fouth one. The driver's window regulator has been replaced twice and now I am having to replace the window switch. Very costly. I also saw a Buick like mine and they had three windows closed with wood shims. This has to be a known problem with these regulators. Who do I speak to about this?.
Was driving up a grade and the vehicle failed to downshift to climb the grade properly on the freeway so remained at 60 mph while in drive. Vehicle also seemed to accelerate under its own power where I had to stop the vehicle by putting it into neutral in order to brake safely almost as if I was braking as the vehicle was accelerating. I was at 55 mph on a flat service without even touching the accelerator. I did notice higher rpms while in neutral. I did take it to a garage and they could not duplicate the problem and my front brakes needed to be replaced under the circumstances. The vehicle wasn't throwing any codes either. I know I'm not the only one that has witnessed this issue and I'm sure the mechanic I took it to did his job properly in attempting to diagnose the issue however it just couldn't be duplicated. Not about to pay diagnostic fees at different places if I'm chasing after a ghost. Any feedback is truly helpful but now my wife is left driving a car subjected to having that same issue in the near future quite possibly and we just had a garage sign off on not being able to duplicate the problem. Hope this information helps.
My lights are on the dashboard and it's saying anit-lock brakes and trac-off. There's a noise in the steering column.
When I bought my 2002 Buick Century in 2003, I asked the dealer to turn off the drl on the car. They insisted they could not because of manufacturer & highway safety laws, but said I could contact the mfg. But that it required much paperwork & an extensively satisfactory reason for this to be done, so I quit asking. Once again I have decided to try to get the drl on my car turned off, since it seems to cause so much confusion to on coming traffic when I am signaling to change lane or turn. I contacted Buick & got customer support rep, that had no idea what drl even is, & declined to escalate my case up. At best she told me to go to a dealer. So the dealer tells me to go the the mfg. Then the mfg tells me to go to the dealer. Can you do anything to help me? all I want is to drive my car without the parking lights on! I thought it was illegal to drive with parking lights on.
Car stopped for no apparent reason while driving down the highway but started up immediately and continued driving home. Next week stopped again while driving as I pulled into the gas station but started up again and continued home. Next time driving no problems then stopped again while turning into the grocery store and again on way home while slowing down for a curve. Can't be trusted. Stops at 55 mph on the highway. Very dangerous! one mechanic thinks it needs new engine computer because he pulled all sensors for testing and car continued to run. However, he is only guessing and won't guarantee a fix if I have new computer installed.

The car locks itself whenever it feels like. Will happen if the engine is on or off.
The odometer does not light up, not allowing the mileage to show.
Driving on a country road the headlights went out. Hit the dimmer switch and they came back on. It did this about three times. Found out that if we tried to use the dimmer switch that the lights went out. Then it got to the point that the only way that you could use the bright lights was to hold the switch. Two weeks later went to the grocery store turned on the blinker to turn and the lights went out again. Had to pull the light switch on and luckily they came back on. Tonight we took the car out and the lights kept going out. This is on a 2004 Buick Century.
The indicator light for the park, revers, drive has been going on and off for years my 84 year old uncle never new what gear he was in and he gave me the car in 09 and we call on it and they told us their was no recall and 9 month ago it finally went out completely we have to count so we know what gear we are in and you can't see the mileage I think this is a safety hazard to the older people.
Second owner of my Buick 2001 purchased from the original owner with 5,000 miles in 2008. The second year I noticed when ever it rained there was water on the floor on the passenger side. I still own the car and over the years have just had regular maintenance done. The water on the passenger side has gotten worse and every time it rains I have to take towels and dry up about 1 inch of water from the carpet. I am retired now and hesitate to take the car to a mechanic as I have found most will take financial advantage of a female. Just wondered if any other owners have had this problem or if there have been any recalls. Eventually , I will have a mechanic look at it and get an estimate for repair as soon as I can because I am tired of mopping up water every time it rains. I also wonder what it is doing to the metal under the carpet. The original owner was an older woman who rarely drove the car. I purchased from her son at her death it still had the new car smell so I am pretty sure she bought the car new and this problem was inherent in the design.

On3/25/05 I went to the n. 59th avenue, glendale, office to register my colorado titled and registered 2003 Buick Century. The agents said they could not find my second VIN # for verification and I would have to make an appointment and pay $20 for a special VIN # , I did. Onmay 24 I paid the $20 and a registration was processed with payment of $500. 51 by check. An arizona title was issued and negligently I did not double check the VIN # they issued on it as 2g4ws525431101814. My insurance notified me that the # did not correspond to the VIN they had on record from my colorado original purchase of the vehicle new from mike shaw Buick in colorado springs and subsequent policies issued on that vehicle. Now when I had the vehicle serviced at liberty Buick in glendale the service manager pointed out the two obvious VIN numbers posted. . . One on driver's side on the dash under the windshield and the other on the trunk lid. I just verified both those as 2g4ws52j431101814. This conflict presents a genuine problem in my proof of ownership of this vehicle since purchased new.
I watched alot of car races on tv and nascar races are one of those races where drivers do car accidents on purpose so they dont lse a race and people out there do the same on regular roads. You cant stop these humans or robots from doing these things all the time they are like suicide threats like a kamakazi pilot from japan. So I think that people should get checked for mental health to see if they are a person who is a kamakazi or a person who is not scared to cause a car accident on purpose these people can looklike any type of person tall short male female. There could be beings out there who cause car accidents on purpose and they have the right to by law given to them by a state a government etc. But I want the devil worshipers to stop doing car accidents on purpose they should not have the rights to do that so something that can be done is anyone who is related to the devil and is causing accidents on purpose at places like nascar or any other place like in the nba nfl nhl where they cripple a good player on purpose so the team loses there are rules to taking care of a step child what you cant do to them the devil worshipers are known to make agreements and sign contracts saying they wont do somethings like make a 5 year old boy blind or try to and they are willing to pay the price something priceless worth more then anything in the world they will try and maybe one thing that beings did was take the devil worshipers to court and hold them in a facility and make them do what is right and what the agreements are so people who drive should sign papers with agreements about how they cant cause car accidents on purpose and if that agreement is broken you guys have to give them the right punishment or they wont listen like what does the devil have that you can take away from him to make him do what he they agreed on to make this paper agreement there should be a reason why devil worshipers cant do any more accidents on purpose in sports cars and they have pilots ar.
