Horn button is part of air bag. The horn button shorts out and the horn blows all the time. Have to remove fuse to stop horn blowing. Had to replace air bag to fix. In a few months the problem reoccurred. Its too expensive to replace air bags so I am left without a horn this is a safety issue. Can the manufacturer provide a fix? the internet shows this is a very common problem for a lot of gm cars.

Horn is located in the center of steering wheel and is very difficult to get ti to sound. Consumer feels it's so difficult because airbag is located there. Consumer cannot blow horn, and feels this is a safety issue.

On steering hub are 2 horn symbols. If they aren't pressed in correct spot they wouldn't go off. Dealer didn't have another solution for consumer. The horn spot was hard to find during emergency. Also the horn when found requires exceptional strength to sound it.

Consumer states that horn is not loud enough, and this is a safety matter. . Dealer was contacted, and stated they could do nothing because the air bag is also under the wheel.
When driving and trying to use the horn, it is hard to locate the spot where the horn is, causing the consumer to not be able to use the horn.
It's very difficult for consumer to honk the horn because the bottom horn is so small and so hard that he couldn't operate it. Causing consumer to have an accident. *akthe service manager told to the consumer that the only way to correct this problem was to replace the entire car and that the horn area could not be done.

When the vehicle is not running or without manual operation the horn continuously blows, cause unknown. Dealer replaced horn assembly and fuse which did not remedy the problem. Please give any further details.
The location of the horn buttons makes it impossible to locate them when the steering wheel is not in a straight position. The dealer is aware of the problem. Consumer indicates that he has recently solved the problem.
Upon attempting to depress horn in an emergency situation horn failed to sound which could have caused an accident. Also, one had to apply an extreme amount of pressure to sound off horn. Consumer has contacted dealer, dealer has yet to determine cause of problem.
Horn fails to sound at any speed, any time of day. Have had the car to dealership numerous times & they are unable to find problem. Manufacturer told me this was not a problem,, live with it!.
Horn failed to work when trying to use it while driving. Horn failed to work even when vehicle was parked. Took vehicle to dealership & informed by mechanic that problem could not be duplicated. Also, front seat belts failed to operate properly. Latch plate would not go into the buckle mechanism.

Car would not start, engine froze up in the garage, the tempature is never 60, put dry gas in tank and after car warmed up it cranked. Also the horn is hard to locate in an emergency event.

Because of the air bag being directly under the horn and the radio controls on the steering wheel, it makes it difficult to press the horn, it takes an extreme amount of effort for consumer horn to activate the horn.
Consumer has had the vehicle only a short time and on four occasions the horn would not blow when consumer needed it.
Windshield glare from dashboard, horn difficult to locate and hard to operate, trunk lid height blocks view when backing up, defroster clears center of windshield and finally driver's side due to small vent and false code gives service engine reading requiring dealer reprogramming.

Due to design and location of horn assembly, which is connected to air bags, and upon attemtping to sound off horn in an emergency situation when making a left or right hand turn, buttons are hard to locate. Consumer has contacted dealer. The whole air bag and horn assembly was replaced . The horn blowing is slightly improved but still impossible to blow when trying to turn.
Horn is too close to airbag housing, causing horn not to blow when apllied. Owner is very concerned for safety. Possible design flaw.
