general problems of the 2010 Buick Enclave

Bad timing chain at 141,000 miles.

While driving in single digit temps in icy road conditions in traffic using the brakes a lot my traction control light came in and I got a service your traction control system and engine power was reduced causing me to not have control of the vehicle in heavy traffic and dangerous road conditions. Traction control will not come back on after the vehicle has been turned off and restarted. Road conditions were so bad traffic was moving 5-10mph on highway. The reduced engine power happened as soon as I started turning right on another road due to how slick the highway was.

/ I am driving my Buick Enclave and the moment I move my steering wheel a noise like a very loud hum starts, I either when parking it is very embarrassing for me because everyone is around me they turn and criticize me because I am not going to the mechanic to repair my Enclave and another problem I have is that the back door if it opens with the control but when trying to close it if it goes down to close but becomes open again it is as if there was an obstacle that does not let it close completely.

While driving the vehicle automatically get stuck and does not pick up speed no matter if u release the gas or press on the gas. The gar does not pick up speed at all and this is very dangerous. I have put close to $1000 in this vehicle in a month trying to correct this scary problem while I am driving on the hwy and city streets as well as turnig.

Hvac temperature does not work on passenger side; right side temperature mode door actuator has failed. This is the second time it has happened. 2013 and now 2018.

Since I bought my 2010 Buick I've nothing but problem after problem. . For some reason the check engine light always seems to come on, suspension makes noise, and steering system is making noise. .

In kroger parking lot just now, parked in a parking place and trying to load groceries. Opened the lift gate like normal, my mother was inside it and it started closing immediately on her. She reached up and pushed it up so she could get out from under it and it started to go up again and then started closing again. It kept dinging as it opened and closed. She tried to open it after it was closed for a minute and it opened and then slammed shut hard before it opened all the way.

Hello, we have just purchased a used 2010 Enclave Buick about three months ago and have just hit the 80,000 mile mark and my engine light turned on and the diagnosis for this vehicle is p0008. On line they show the previous models to mine where all recalled for this code issue. My concern is was this issue fixed for these newer models or is this something that will be recalled in the future just like the older models did. There are others concerned with this same issue so I'm aware that we are not the only ones. Thanks you, p. S very hopeful someone can help would hate to spend all that money on a vehicle we have recently purchased and does not have too many miles.

Steering: seems vague when in motion at highway speed. Other: rear tailgate opens while driving, sitting still w/o the key in the ignition. Contacted gm and customer service told me it was my problem not theirs. Engine: sounds like a meatgrinder on cold start up, if the engine fails will loose steering, brakes and possibly control of the vehicle.

As I am driving the cars auto locks will suddenly unlock and lock then the car goes into neutral, rpm's go up, car slows down and the engine revs, it lasts for 30 sec or so then goes back into drive. Has done it at 25 mph all the way up to 70 mph, happens intermittently no rhyme or reason to it. Very scary and dangerous, has happened 10-12 times in the last year, happened twice today while on the expressway, very scary. The other thing it does is it will jerk, check engine light comes on, things flash on the dash, service stabilitrac, park assist off, traction control off it then won't shift gears and I have to stop and shut the car off, check engine light stays on for a day or two. These are 2 separate issues. Have had to dealer multiple times, they say don't know whats wrong. This seems to be an issue with 2010 Enclaves according to Enclaveforum. Net.

Water is leaking from front windshield on both the drivers side and passenger side of car and is affecting electrical equipment, such as onstar, engine light, etc.

While the vehicle was in motion on an highway at approximately 70 mph, the sky roof above the 2nd row seats spontaneously exploded. The vehicle was on an open 3 lane highway with limited vehicle traffic. Approximate temperature was 65 degrees outside and 70 degrees inside. The incident happened just before noon on September 26th in central wisconsin. The result was a hole the size of a football in the center of the glass. The edges of the glass surrounding the hole were tilted upward as though something came out of the vehicle. The remaining glass was in small pieces put still intact in the original shape. The thin shade that was on the interior of the vehicle was closed at the time which contained most of the glass that fell through. No other foreign material was found in the shade while I was cleaning up of the broken glass. My husband was driving the vehicle and described it as being a loud bang behind him. My young kids (ages 6 and 7) sit below this sky roof and thankfully were not in the vehicle when it happened, but they could of been pelted with glass and the loud bang could of startled me if I was driving and caused an accident. The only place I could get the vehicle repaired was at the dealership which significantly increased the cost to repair it and it took over 5 days to get the piece of glass and then another day to repair it. I am fearful that this will happen again with the new piece of glass as it's the same part. This is a significant safety hazard that could cause injury to vehicle occupants and possible accident.

The power steering will work for about the first 3 minutes of getting into the car and then it will go out everytime I am below 20 mph. I live in the mountains and won't even let my wife drive the vehicle because I am concerned for her safety. Also, my a/c and heat just went out in my car.

The problem is water leaking from the base cover on passages side inside the cabin of the car. The base cover is just above the feet under the glove compartment; it fills with water and leak inside the car wetting the carpet; inside the cover, seats an electrical "blower motor or fan motor. " as I searched the internet I discovered that this is an on going problem on Buick Enclave since 2007. I have 2010 model with the same problem. It is common knowledge that water and electricity can ignite a fire or totally short circuit the car. What troubles me is that the manufacture had knowledge of said problem. Since 2007 and failed to rectify the problem or recall the car. I have about 19,000 miles on this car and when I drive it water come out from this cover. In an attempt to meditate the damage I removed the base and saw it was full of water and have pictures of the water leaking down. Please look into this before it causes and accident we speak about " transparent" yet know defeats in cars are not disclosed at the point of sale. The law should mandated that oral disclosure of all known defeats be disclosed this manufacturer defect must be corrected.
