2011 Buick Enclave rolls unabated on hills while in gear - drive or reverse. Very hard to control. Requires very quick move from brake to accelerator and "2-foot" driving which is dangerous and wears brakes and transmission. There is no "hill hold" feature and drivetrain provides no resistance.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated this problem was in the manual and it was natural for the vehicle to roll back. There was no failure. The contact owns a 2011 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that he was sitting on an incline with the brakes depressed. As he released the brakes, the vehicle abnormally rolled backward approximately 300 feet. The failure would occur sporadically when on an incline. The dealer was contacted and advised that the failure was normal. He then called the manufacturer and was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 300 and the current mileage was 369.
My 2011 Buick Enclave rolls forward and backward on an incline when in drive. This is a serious safety concern as the rollback is not restricted and can reach dangerous speeds depending on the level of decline. This requires the driver to keep firm and consistent pressure on the brake when on an incline to avoid rolling into other vehicles and also, go heavy on gas to overpower the roll when taking off. This is even worse than a manual transmission vehicle as at least they will stop if they snub out.
