Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while traveling at 70 mph, the vehicle began to lose power as the traction control stability warning light illuminated. The contact was able to drive her vehicle to a service station. The contact called her husband who was able to restart start the vehicle and drove it home. Since the initial failure, the traction control stability light would flash intermittently as the vehicle would stall; once the light disappeared, the vehicle would resume normal driving. The vehicle was initially taken to terry labonte Chevrolet 1401 bridford pkwy, greensboro, nc 27407 where the steering sensor was replaced. Despite the repair, the failure continued. The contact then took the vehicle to hendrick Chevrolet 100 auto mall drive, cary, nc 27511 where she was informed that the spark plugs needed to be replaced, a repair was not performed. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where the wires, spark plugs and upper control arm were repaired. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and was referred to NHTSA. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 80,000. Jo.

On July 12, 2012 while entering the interstate the check engine light and traction stability service light came on. The car would not accelerate or shift, I could not increase speed to merge into highway traffic, as I tried to merge the vehicle slowly increased speed, not normally accelerating. I eventually was able to get to 55 mph. The next time I drove the car it acted fine. Two days later while driving at 60 mph on the interstate without warning the check engine light, traction stability service warning light, the abs brake warning light all came on the brakes felt like mush, the car slowed in traffic, all while in the passing lane with traffic behind me. This created an extremely dangerous condition that could have easily resulted in serious injury or death. I eventually was able to move to the middle lane (3 lane roadway) and nursed the vehicle destination. When I started out again it acted fine w/check engine light and traction system warning light on then w/out warning while trying to enter the interstate again all gauges failed, ac shut off, cruise control power went off, the vehicle would not accelerate, would not shift, speed slowed from 30 to near 20, then systems started to turn back one at a time & was able to nurse the car home at 50 - 55 mph, it would not shift or accelerate correctly. Took vehicle to dealer, where purchased, they had the vehicle for 2 1/2 weeks called me stated "we can not get it to act up, come and pick up car" not repaired. I asked about codes in computer, I have a copy of these, they stated they were history codes not hard codes. When I asked about them forcing me to drive a dangerous vehicle, could cause serious injury or death, they said if it acts up to bring it back. Within 12 hrs the same events occurred as listed above. I drove it to them while all warning lights were on. They still have car it has not been repaired yet.

Approx. 380 miles, the service traction control & service stability track light came on. I took it to a Buick dealer in my town & they did not find anything wrong. Periodically this keeps happening & each time they cannot diagnose the problem. I was given a device that was plugged into the computer& set in the cup holder. If it happened again to push the button to record the code, which I did. It has been 3 weeks since I gave the device back & still no call to bring my car in. The last time it happened the car acted like it was not gripping the road & we felt a jolt when stopping or going forward from a stop. I am afraid it will cause more damage if not taken care of. I have 13,000 miles now & I bought my 2008 Enclave in July 2007. It seems to be getting worse each time it happens. I have taken it to two different Buick dealers to no avail. The car handles a little different while it is going on. I am afraid it could cause me to get into an accident.
