When start up, ac automatically starts and compressor sounds like loud dragging noise and no cold air comes out!! this has happened 3 times since purchased on 1/18/2018.

Brakes. In town I have to let off the gas for half a block and gradually apply the brakes or double brake to make it stiffen up and come to a complete stop. I've had it serviced. The master cylinder was replaced and it seemed fine for a month but then I began to have the same issues again. By that time though it was used it only had 36000 miles and is still giving the same issues. When applying the brakes the pedal goes down with maybe an inch or two inches from touching the floor.

The heat does not work while idling. Only heats up while driving. Began at 20 k miles.

This took place on private property in the parking lot of a commercial building. The vehicle was in motion going forward. It was decelerating head-in into a parking spot. The braking action was engaged. The vehicle had slowed to about 5 mph. My right foot was on the brake pedal and the braking was engaged. I then heard the sound of the engine revving at a very high rate. There was a high whining sound. I lost braking as my right foot depressed the pedal all the way to the floor. The car suddenly accelerated forward at an increased speed. It jumped the sidewalk curb, crossed the concrete sidewalk, and slammed into a cinder block wall column on the side of a building. The vehicle felt like it experienced sudden unintended acceleration.

We hit 2 deers at 70 mph it damaged the whole front part of our car . None of the air bags deployed. The 4 way flashers came on the seatbelts locked up yet no airbags. Also this is the first and only time the 4 way flashers worked. The car has been fixed and no 4 way flashers again.

Since the vehicle was purchased new, a 2019 Encore sport touring, have had issues with the stereo volume and it doesn't matter if the vehicle is moving or stationary. . When switching from fm to xm there is a huge difference in audio volume. The volume while listening to xm is what you would consider as normal however when switching to fm the volume is only 1/2 (without adjusting/modifying volume level) of what it was and now requires almost 3/4 volume adjustment and sounds muted and still cannot acheive same sound quality. Have discussed this with dealer and they state they contacted gm. The answer was an unacceptable "this is normal" operation. Have listened to other stereos in other car's (including Buicks) with am/fm and xm and they do not suffer from this same issue. Would like this issue to be solved.

I wanted to register a concern about my 2013 Buick Encore. Two days ago, while on the highway, my sunroof literally exploded. The glass shards didn't injure me, but I felt helpless while on the expressway. There was nothing indicating concerns or issues with the sun roof, I am fortunate to escape harm, but wanted gm to be aware of this danger. We have been lifelong general motors customers for over nearly 50 years, and felt the need to bring this to your attention.

There is a constant coolant leak appears to be coming from the turbo area. Coolant smell is constant as the coolant is being burned off by exhaust manifold. Loss of cooland can lead to overheating and engine failure.

Battery west even a year old and it went out. Dead. Coolant was leaking. But wasn't leaking at first. I believe they damaged it. When we took it for check up the same warranty was going out and they said we will make sure everything is working. They just half fix every thing and got the money. This is a lemon. Coolant leak and conditioning still don't work. What do you do. Just.

The driver's side blind spot indicator (located on the side mirror) is malfunctioning and giving false and erroneous indications - both false positives and false negatives - this has occurred each time I have driven the vehicle- on the freeway, on the highway, on side streets. If drivers depend on this extremely unreliable safety feature accidents are highly likely to result.

The dealership said that "control module" from the factory was the incorrect part number for the vehicle and may the cause of the problem, but they are unsure as they have been unable to replace it.

I was dropping my kids to school. I was in line of drop off. I stopped my car put my car in park and removed my foot from brake. Suddenly I noticed that my car was moving just like in the speed of neutal. I pushed the brakes hard because my car was about to hit the car infront of me. I checked the the shift was still in the park. So in short, car was still moving when in park. Scarry!!!!.

Electrical system/technical issues with intellink features. Vehicle will not come out of valet mode. Wifi shows several addresses of info I'm never used & I'm not using. The cruise control feature of vehicle has never worked since car was purchased brand new off the lot. Warning signal constantly appears on dashboard in red for a second but unable to read too brief. The dealership has all the info. Part was already replaced. Has been reset many times over & reported then it starts back for no clear stated reason. Dealership will have best date info. Please assist.

My engine has been misfiring and Buick refuses to fix the problem. It is unsafe to drive, jerking, and getting stuck in first and second gear when trying to accelerate. I have brought it in twice to have it fixed with proof that the engine malfunction light is on, and they said there is nothing wrong. I emailed the manager in service, and he said there is nothing he can do.

Aprx 6am Tuesday July 18, 2017, aprx 5:45 am, with no key fob in my wife's or my possession and no one within 30 feet of the care parked in the garage, the 2017 Buick Encore started on its own. The car was stationary and parked in the garage since aprx 7:00 pm Monday evening the 17th. Hearing a noise in the garage, I went there and found the card engine running. The garage door was closed, and no one could have entered the garage. We are taking the car to place of purchase, klick lewis Buick chev, palmyra, PA to determine what they will do to correct the problem. Checked recall and found nothing. Since this self starting could possibly cause other damage including carbon monoxide in a closed area (don't know if it would have shut off after a set short time on its own) thought it should be reported and a notice sent out to all Encore owners warning them of this issue. My car was in motion going approximately 45-50 mph when it hit a stationary vehicle on the highway. I was able to hit my brakes but still hit the car in almost full force, head on. Both my car and the car I hit are totaled, and I was taken by ambulance to the hosputal after, but my airbags did not go off.

2/2017- purchased new 2016 Buick Encore at honolulu GMC in first 2 years- dealership replaced 4 batteries I have all stock items I haven't added/upgraded anything on the vehicle they said I had no warranty after 50,000 miles which was a lie after having to replace the battery 2 more times and water pump once successfully and not at their dealership. 1/2021 I found the original purchase papers, while deep cleaning car before taking in to be fixed elsewhere and then GMC admitted I had an extended warranty. Due to long wait times nearest appointment in 2/2021. 2/2021 took to fix a/c blowing warm, engine lack of and losing power (which we took in for this before and they said nothings wrong just needed an oil change or something, gotta find paperwork for that repair to be sure) and parasitic battery test they didn't do the battery test (of course they didn�t) they fixed the a/c but instead of using the warranty, charged me a higher diagnosis fee and never filed the claim, said the engine was due to subpar spark plugs we took back our car and replaced spark plugs with denso. There was still the same problems. 3/23/2021 now they're saying cylinder 1 and 3 spark plugs are stuck want to charge $2500 for full fix, warranty will cover $1300, balance is for gaskets and liquid refill. Note: no one changes the settings in a torque wrench in the middle of doing spark plugs. How is it only 2 are seized? they're lying I need a lawyers help putting this here in case any one else had similar. Multiple other issues in between these. I have video recordings of some of these instances and paperwork for each repair.

My 2015 Buick Encore caught fire in my driveway when my wife returned home from town. It was parked and she had just exited the vehicle and walked to the back to attempt to get groceries out. She smelled smoke and looked through the car toward the windshield and could see flames and smoke coming from under the hood.

The wheel well liner and the plastic bumper attachment are attached to each other or near each other. In my opinion this type of material and design is faulty. This design does not support heavy snow. Last March when the rochester, NY. Received heavy snow, the weight of the snow caused the wheel liner and the bumper to tear. The tearing of both the bumper and the wheel liner created a steering hazard which prohibits sharp steering and maneuverability in driving conditions, which may result in serious physical injury or death.

Battery goes goes dead if car is not driven every day.

Rear brakes make a very loud noise when applied first time in am. Also, after standing long time during day. Noise is a loud scraping or rubbing sound with vibration. On going since 2016.

The c0llision warning system not work properly. The outside detection system shuts itself off now and then sometimes giving a message "outside detection system not available. " all this occurs when the vehicle is in motion which for me is a safety c0ncern. It has happened off and on since purchasing the vehicle.

Driving along at approx. 55 mph on a main hiway slowed to approx. 40 mph to make a turn, when suddenly the engine stopped operating. Everything shut down, no steering, no brakes. On star did not respond, car was disabled about 5-7 minutes, tried to start several time with the key. Serious issue, had car towed to dealer, found nothing wrong and no codes were obtained from the computer system!.

There are toxic fumes and an odor emanating from the interior of my 2013 Buick Encore. The upholstery seems to be the most likely source. The fumes have been causing a chronic burning sensation in our eyes, nose, throat, and which occasionally results in stomach discomfort and nausea. The fumes and odor intensify on sunny days and when taking extended trips. The issue has been reported to the gm dealer, where I purchased the car, over the past two years, however they have not taken action to resolve the issue, nor have they taken this matter seriously. We would like to get the car tested for toxic interior emissions, and would like help finding the proper testing facility or company that performs this test. Could you please recommend someone, whether a private company or governmental agency that performs this service. Any direction or idea would be extremely helpful at this point. Rear view camera system: when backing out of my garage during light hours the display is useless. The light sensor takes from one minute to fifteen minutes before the display goes bright. Since my driveway crosses a sidewalk the display is useless in that situation and a safety hazzard. The dealer advised me there was nothing they could do about it. The light sensor is mounted on top of the dashboard, so it has a clear view of light conditions.

Exhaust smell in car especially when air recycle button on. Smell is worse at stops and after car is returned to garage. Have complained to gm Buick for three years. No cause found.
