The contact owns a 2006 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated that while turning, there was an abnormal noise coming from the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the rack and pinion and motor mounts were replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,446 and the current mileage was 127,289.
I have just recently become Buick owner I needed a nice dependable car for work. I have not had the car month yet and there's a problem with the steering. I have had to put in power steering fluid every other day because its ran out. My dad and I have tried everything, because I can't afford to replace a entire rack and pinion system and my warranty just like many others doesn't cover this part. Gm needs to think really hard about recalling the cars that have this issue or maybe all the owners should go to the local media about the issue. We all know that big corporations hate bad press!!.
