The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and had the recall repair performed. The contact stated that in may 2022, while driving 25 mph, the engine seized. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated the key failed to turn in the ignition. The contact stated he waited approximately 5 minutes before he was able to restart the vehicle and continue driving to his destination. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the catalytic converter to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact took the vehicle to the independent mechanic and had the catalytic converter replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
