Front Seat Belt Buckle Assembly Problems of Buick Lesabre

- the contact owns a 2001 Buick Lesabre. While driving the vehicle at 25 mph the seat belt buckle which was made of plastic split in half when he turned his body around to view traffic. The vehicle has not been examined by a dealer/mechanic. The failure mileage was 17,000.

Passenger's side seat belt will not buckle or retract on its own. Consumer contacted the dealer, and dealer informed consumer that the seal belt was not a life time warranty.

Front passenger seat belt buckle does not unlock. Consumer has contacted dealer.

Safety belt on driver side sometimes fails to latch because the latch mechanism fails to return to its proper location inside the latch housing. I have to press and hold the latch and then use a butter knife to pop the latch back out so that it will latch properly. The driver's side rear power window just started sliding down the track one day and now will not go up or down using the switch. I've had to slide it up into place and the tape it shut with package sealing tape. The front driver side power window sometimes fails to go up or down when I press the window down button. Then later it will respond appropriately. Johnson motors replaced the passenger side front window motor last year when I took the car in to have it serviced and have some scratches buffed out that had been there when I originally purchased the vehicle. The windows are a very real problem but the seat belt latch failure is a real life-threatening situation.
