Front Seat Head Restraint Problems of Buick Lesabre

The front head rests failed to lock in place. The consumer had an accident while driving approximately 35 mph, the head rest had fallen down, the consumer was injured.

On three separated occasions while driving 25 mph, the head rest moved up on it's own. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic informed the consumer that the head rest needed to be replaced and replaced it three times. However, the problem still occurs at this time.

Consumer states the vehicle was hit in the rear. The passenger sitting in the rear seat hit their head on the rear deck above the seat. Consumer feels that seats are not high enough and headrests are needed for the rear seats to ensure passenger safety when involved in a collision. Passenger was wearing a safety belt, but received head injuries. The vehicle that hit the consumer in the rear was travelling less than 20mph. Estimated damage was $2500. 00.
