The transmission doesn't shift correctly even after it's warmed up it is erratic and rough while connecting the transmission gears and jerks very hard at most times. The power steering is not working correctly and makes it difficult to drive at all with the combined issues I'm very concerned about my and my family safely.

Drove to the store, transmission was hard shifting and then wouldn't hardly move at all. Almost got hit three x!! very tramatized. How is it that on just one of many web pages 400 people had this problem 140 complained about it! that's just one website! how has this problem not been fixed and recalled?.
Tl the contact owns a 2004 Buick Lesabre. The contact stated while driving 50 mph, the vehicle stalled with several warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was restarted however, the failure recurred intermittently. The contact believed that the failure was related to the power train. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle had not been repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.
The frame of my car fell out while I was driving on a high way after I had already reported the problem and had been denied services to get it fixed.

Car has twice shutoff during driving. Last time in middle of turn, son ran off road because steering wheel was locked. It is not included in any gm recall for the ignition switch, but symptoms are identical. Dealer has no idea how to repair except to 'try' things. Problem is, if guess is wrong and problem persists, serious accident could happen.

My 2004 Buick Lesabre keeps losing power while I am driving. This is the 4th incident in 2 months! the vehicle dies and the power steering locks. This is a dangerous situation as I was on hwy 190 and there is major work being done. I was driving over a bridge and their are barriers on both sides of the highway. Each time the incident occurs I get a crank but no start. My vehicle is then towed to a mechanic and I've been told that the crank shaft sensor and ignition module are bad. The sensor has been replaced twice within a weeks time and not three weeks after the module was replaced it is back at the shop today. I have no leverage under texas lemon laws because it is used vehicle and unfortunately I have to put my job before my safety because I have responsibilities. I am in a dangerous situation right now!.
We bought the car December 29,2015, the car had 102,0215, and drove it to the doctor on our way back, the would make a "clunking" sound from trans-axles, and we notice that the dash board came up and it has hardware screws across the dash as if to hold it down.
Intake manifold gaskets (both lower and upper) have failed resulting in coolant loss. Poorly designed plastic gaskets are no longer used but this should be a recall as it results in safety issue if coolant is completely depleted on the highway resulting in failure of vehicle to drive due to engine failure.
Rear window regulator have malfunctioned for 3rd time in both rear windows. Oil leaking from valve/heads causing smoke under hood. Door controls shorted out,and electrical problems causing doors to lock and unlock without cause and switching from driver1 to driver2 and back while driving.
The contact owns a 1992 Buick Lesabre. The contact noticed coolant leaking from under the vehicle. While the parking brake was engaged, the contact had to depress the brake pedal to prevent the vehicle from rolling down an incline. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign numbers: 96v015000 (power train) and 91v167000 (parking brake) however, the contact's VIN was excluded. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 240,000.
Took vehicle with 55,100 miles to the authorized gm dealer after shuttering and barely beginning to move while driving in traffic. The authorized gm dealer stated "inspected, no codes in system, erratic shift points, delay shift thru 1st and 2nd gear, no 3rd gear, goes to 4th gear. Recommends srta trans (3yr/100,000 warranty) $3782. 64. ".
When the Lesabre was reliable; it was reliable. However, when issues started to occur, they were massive. At approx 90k miles the transmission went with no warming and was instantly. After that the car still had issues with the drive, transmission and gears. The fuel pump and intake manifolds have been replaced. As of 2014 I continue to have issues with this vehicle. It currently runs very hard and when idle and in traffic (very scary) will randomly cut off with zero warning or even begin to smoke. There is the correct amount of oil and antifreeze. The car will randomly smoke as well. I have been to the mechanic several times trying to figure out the main issue so that it can be repaired. This is extremely frustrating. Anyone have any solutions? I keep reading plenty of owners with the same issue(s) so I find it hard to believe that gm/Buick has not done a recall on parts for the engine, transmission, etc.
My car jerks like a fish tugging on your line at different speeds and when coming up an incline. It also has a very strong odor that I smell when running the a/c. I smell it outside the car and occasionally I smell it inside the car.
Transmission bumps some times.
The car accelerated itself in reverse and I was unable to stop it even though I had the brake pedal depressed as far as it would go. I had started the car, depressed the brake pedal (the brake must be engaged in order to put the car in gear) and the car shot back and would not stop. I was rather panicked as I was leaving a convenience store and was trying to avoid hitting the gas pumps, other vehicles and pedestrians. I managed to back the car into the street and attempted to put it in park so it would stop. The gear shift went into the park position, but the car did not stop. It proceeded across a busy street through a controlled intersection at approx. 20-30 mph. At it started across the street, I shut the car off. The brakes would still not stop it. It finally came to a stop after rolling into a curb. I had absolutely no control over the car other than to steer it. I have known this to happen with several other gm cars, but always in a forward gear. I own a 1986 pontiac trans am that has done this on occasion. I have had that car looked at by several mechanics, and none can find anything wrong with it. Gm does not appear to be aware of this problem as I can find no records of recalls for any of their cars for spontaneous acceleration. Part of the problem may be that when it happens to someone, no one believes them. Everyone assumes they had their foot on the gas and the brake at the same time. I have tried to put my foot on both pedals (with the car in park) to see if that could be what happened, but I can't do it as the gas pedal is recessed further back than the brake pedal. At no time are they level with each other. By some miracle, no one was hurt and there was no property damage. I am going to check with various Buick dealerships and other mechanics to see if they have ever heard of this problem, but I fear it will be the same as with the trans am where I will get no answers.
Hello, I had a problem with my car hesitating going up a small grade or sometimes just driving down the road and took it back to the dealer. They told me it was a spark plug and fixed it. The problem continued and I took it to another dealer who said I needed a new transmission. Besides a new transmission, they also replaced the intake manifold gasket and put new brakes on the front with rotors. The receipt from the garage says the transmission had an 1870 trouble code. My car was purchased new and had 52,000 miles on it. The total cost was 4200. 00. I asked the gm people for help with this expense as I am a single mother working 2 jobs and did not get a reply. I took out another loan to pay for this. Now, with almost 80,000 miles, the transmission is doing the same thing and my friend with a computer says it is the 1870 trouble code (when the check engine light comes on). I can not afford to spend another 4000. 00 for another transmission.
