Tire Sidewall Problems of Buick Lesabre

The contact owns a 2002 Buick Lesabre equipped with michelin harmony tires, tire size p225/60r/16. The contact stated the sidewalls on the drivers rear and front passenger side were breaking away from the tire. During a state inspection, the inspector confirmed that the tire was separating. The dealer and manufacturer denied any assistance with repairs to the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was unavailable and the current mileage was 108,331.

While pulling out of the driveway consumer heard a loud popping sound. Consumer left the vehicle, and found that the tire blew out at the sidewall.

Tire size p21570r15. Dot# not available has a bump on it. When going over 30 mph vehicle vibrates, and the faster vehicle goes the more it vibrates. Consumer can't steer with both hands because fingers will get numb. Tire has large impression where tread meets sidewall. Contacted dealer. Dealer stated that tires were made in 4 sections, then vulconized together before tread is molded on causing large dimples where the sidewall meets the tread.

While attemping to parallel park, right front tire struck a misaligned concrete curb, tearing sidewall of tire. (goodyear eagle GA p215/60r16).
