Purchased car on 1/17/2008 as demo 2007 w/6314 mi on way home car was pulling to right was found to have a shifted steel belt on driverside front tire. Tire was replaced. We wanted all the tires replaced because visually the defect may not be detected. The dealership refused because gmac policies are that it has to be proven there is a defect. If we had a blowout at highway speeds and were injured or killed I guess they would replace them. We were told that sometimes a bleb is seen but not always. We replaced all the tires w/coopers at our expense. Major recalls on Ford explorers took place in 2000,2003, 2004.
