2007 Buick Lucerne windshield wiper failure. Consumer states that the windshield wipers made a sharp noise then stopped completely. Consumer could not see the vehicle left the road and hit a hedge in someone's yard. The consumer was informed the failure of the windshield wiper was due to a plastic clip that suddenly disengaged. The clip linked the wiper motor with the wiper blades.
