The contact also stated that the vehicle will jump up and down in speed during the failure and then goes back to normal after the vehicle seemed to correct itself. The engine service center would illuminate on the instrument panel and say that the traction control and anti-lock brakes are not working. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and it was thought that the failure could be caused by a bad connection between the accelerator pedal and the fuel being sent to the engine.
