2006 Buick Lucerne. Consumer states that the service airbag light came on. She states that this should be under a recall and would like reimbursement for the cost of repair. The dealer replaced the driver side air bag module.
- the contact owns a 2006 Buick Lucerne that had been to the dealer 7 times because the air bags indicator light showed that air bags needed to be service. The dealer they replaced the air bag module and the wiring harness. The contact stated that the air bags indicator light continued to show on dashboard. Updated 2/27/2007 - intermittently the cruise control was inoperative.
Air bag & air curtain are inoperable due to mash switch in seat that cannot accommodate a passenger in the 100 lb. Range. Buick claims there hands are tied and cannot modify because of federal safety guidelines but that leave the right side safety accommodations unusable and does not protect the passenger.
