My 1999 Buick park Ave caught fire under the hood and was damaged beyond repair. This occurred without warning less than five minutes after it had been parked six and a half hours and then driven for less than 5 minutes at low city speeds.

Consumer states the motor "locked up" while driving at highway speeds. Mechanic diagnosed that antifreeze is leaking into engine cylinders. Ts.

While slowing down vehicle to pull into a gas station, consumer states there was a big explosion under hood, popped hood and saw flames, went for help. Cause is unknown. Please provide any further information. Ts.

While going 65mph engine quit without warning. Vehicle will restart after sitting for 10 minutes. Problem has existed for past 5 weeks, and the dealer has been unable to determine what the cause is. Please provide more information.

While coming to a stop and then proceeded to go and engine died. Another incident occurred while pulling off from a traffic light, engine died. Last time while going over a bridge with a lot of traffic, consumer slowed down, and driver in front started to back up really fast. When attempting to put car in reverse, vehicle died. Dealer could not duplicate the problem.

Vehicle had been sitting overnight, insured started vehicle, puff of smoke appeared. Insured turned vehicle off and fire errupted, claim 49-3261-220.

On several occasions vehicle has completely stopped which could result in collision.

After vehicle had been parked about 5 to 10 minutes engine caught on fire, totalling the vehicle. The manufacturer has been notified.

Odometer found to be broken.
